XD well sometimes it's me, sometimes it's my team. I've figured out it's more inking the area closest to the opponent's base that buys time.
Like , not everyone should do the same thing, but people should travel in twos, or within close proximity of one another across the map. so if one gets splattedΒ
the other can avenge the splat and then overtake the enemy. and yeah, gear has a BIG say in what your job is, as well as your weapon.
I'm a carbon roller almost always. I cover a lot of ground quickly, and sometimes pull kamikaze stunts and I like to sneak up behind people.
But I'm just a roller, and I'm vulnerable to rapid shooters and bigger rollers with better gear. That's the sacrifice I make for speed because my gear sucks rn XD
I am good at my job, just so long as I can get some advantage over opponents, (usually by hiding)
But as you've probably noticed most stages have key areas that need to be claimed if you wanna win XD like the middle in kelp dome, the two lower areas in Bluefin depot, etc
I can't get close enough to key areas if they're inked and then protected.
