Mein is a Cration, which are basically physical embodiments of ones negative emotions/disorders. If the emotions are strong enough in one person, the Cratian awakens and is set on tormenting their human counterpart. They can take different forms depending on the severity of the emotion, Mein in this case is quite stable as he is only anxious and depressive feelings and obsessive behaviors. I hope that helped a bit : )
