It's tempting...but that's way too much responsibility. I'd make a mess of things.
I'd have to appoint someone with more wisdom to rule Earth.
Maybe Gandalf, but then he disappears at the worst times,just when you need him (that's annoying!). Maybe Obi-Wan from Star Wars? Or Galadriel, she seems to have all the wisdom of the Elves. Who would you pick? George Carlin, now he'd be practical, intelligent, and would give everyone exactly what they deserve 
Bonzo? Don't even go there...he'd be the worst choice ever.

it's very clear that all of your suggestions can actually uphold a political position, and do extremely well! if Gandalf could stick around a bit more, he'd make an excellent leader with the whole "being immortal" part, so there definitely wouldn't be a need for a second election.
yes!! hahaha. George Carlin would be president. Gandalf would be in charge of all branches of the nation's (and, during invasions from evil aliens, earth's) military and war strategy, which means there will be only peace. Dumbledore clearly has the spot of leading the educational system. Bonzo will fulfill the position you just created for him!
the rest of the Zeppelin guys would be in charge of music in the schools.
you would be in charge of painting the portraits of them all, and I'd be your helper who prepares everything for you, so that I can meet them all :] and party hard with Georgie and Bonzo!!
