# About me
hi there! i am a university student in love with photography and design (but studying science!)...i've been taking & editing photos since c. 2007 but due to constrictions in time, i am limited in the number of photos i upload...i've always dreamt of buying an SLR and till now my dream has not yet become real :( --update :D, i now am a proud owner of Canon 550D :D :D :D, so my dream has finally came realim interested in all types of photography and i'll be in heaven whenever visiting an artistic exhibition, whatever the medium is...whenever i get inspired and creative, i have the best of moods ^^
i admire people who believe in their inner strengths and capabilities and who can make wonders out of simple things
i also love culture and travelling...for me travelling is a way to keep me sane and looking back at the memories of a holiday is a pleasure ^^

Photography Competition
The Malta University History Society (MUHS) is organizing a Photographic competition for all officially registered University students. The aim behind such an event is to put up an exhibition from 13th April running up through April 19th, in order to commemorate the International Sites and Monuments Day. The exhibition will be open for the public and we will also hold a public opening ceremony on the 13th followed by a reception and the prize giving ceremony to the winners.
A panel of judges will be responsible to choose the winners. Each entry will be judged on artistic expression, creativity, originality and the quality of the photo.
Apart from raising national awareness, our aim is to provide an innovative perspective towards our Heritage.
Such an event would also serve as an activity related to the European Year of Creativity and Innovation. Besides, MUHS would also follow up with an informative public lecture which would discuss National Restoration Projects and open the interest doors to those youths who wish to pursue a future career in the restoration field but also inform the public of what is being done to conserve Maltaβs Heritage and how it can be then used as a brand in our Tourism industry.
Those who wish to take part in this competition should read the rules and fill out the application form.

*Update*
Just a small reminder, the closing date for the Photographic Competition is April 3rd 2009. Your entries should be submitted at the History Department office to Ms.Karen Ford.
Also, if you print your photos at Casa Italia - Photo play- Labour Rd. Zabbar and tell them that itβs for the Malta University History Society Photographic Competition you will get a discount on the prints for the competition since they are our main sponsors.
Those who are not sure where it is or live far please contact me and I can try and print them for you.
