Saw your interview with Boom. It was great to see and hear from the artist himself! You almost gave away too much on Sheva, but it was all good fun. You're famous! I enjoyed it.   At last, I know how to pronounce your name, that was very helpful.

If you are stuck in a rut, and it happens to everyone from time to time, I found it helps sometimes to go out, take your mind off things, look at the world with newer eyes, drink in the works from other artists and seek inspiration from other mediums.

Hey Eliseu It's been a while and I was wondering If I ask u about How struggling it is
Sometimes being an artist can be such as the use of Photo references which can
too boring when u re use it too much when U can't draw what u want y'know.
It's very tough to bear sometimes.

Hey, Hersiali, it's been a while!

I use lots of references, especially for titles such as Stargate Atlantis/Universe and yeah, after a while it feels like it's constricting your creativity.

It's why I use them mostly as guidelines, to see how, for instances, a F-22 would look from this or that angle and then add a personal take on the perspective or the foreshortening.

I've been drawing cartoony style a lot lately, so it's very liberating to look at something and trying to cartoon-ify it.

That tendency has started to bleed into my more reallistic style and it can be quite enjoyable sometimes to "bend" the rules.

Those girls( mini wonder girl, supergirl and mary marvel
against a smelly and slimy version verison of clayface
But with wonder girl facing him alone and getting engulfed
In smelly slime that she can't get out of before the girls save in the end while wearing her version of that blue suit that
Lynda carter wore in that wonder woman TV show.

Hey, Split-up Studio,

Um, Hey listen I'm been meaning to ask about something about how I draw and looking
For someone who can give some advice,( I hope I'm not bothering u). Because when I draw
A picture I have look at a live figure(person) or a photograph to look at when I draw Something but when I draw something on my own I can't get it straight enough to make it
Good. So I ask for your advice on drawing.

Hey, Hersiali,

thank you so much for your post, sounds to me like you've still have to practice freehand drawing.
Very different from drawing from a reference image since you have to tap into your memory's image bank and that takes time to fill.

Practice from live models or photos until you can picture it in your head so vividly you can draw it by heart.

It's how I learned to draw volkswagen beetles, for instances. ^_^

It's all a matter of focusing, you need to be able to concentrate for large strips of time.
Learning to draw requires hundreds, thousands of hours of sketching, practicing and training.

The Wonder Woman story is awesome, I will keep following. I like the moody dark colors, which befits the character, she deals with and is a part of something that deals with some serious, challenging issues, and I like how you explained where the Amazons come from, men seem to die after procreation, if I got that right. I also liked how you fit Nubia and other forgotten Amazons into the story. I once had an argument with someone about the Black Wonder Woman (her sister) and had to prove that she did exist at one time. Bravo, wonderful art and story. This is a great way to update her in a cinematic style. DC and WB don't seem to know what to do with her, they are missing out on a lot of money in this age of ass-kicking women on-screen (TV and Movies and Video Games.) They should take notice, your approach is very good. Wonder Woman engenders a lot of hate with the ancient Greek lesbian type of thing, like Sappho and her island Lesbos, which I think is what scares the movie people. I also like your old-school illustration style, reminds me of Milton Caniff in color.

Hi, Graffilthy,
thank you SO much for your comment, I really love getting feedback on my WW story (how else am I gonna improve, right? ).
I try to inject as many elements and references from her long history any chance I can. Initially I wanted to create new characters but every new writer that comes along already does that, so why not explore her rich gallery of characters instead?
All these characters, her best amazon friend Mala, her rival Orana, her archenemy Circe, her sister Nubia (yes, she really DID exist, person-who-argued-with-Graffilthy ), but also admi... I mean, captain Darnell, Etta Candy, Gell Osey, Prof. Turgo... they are just waiting for a chance to be updated to the XXI century for a new generation of fans.
WW was a pioneer as the first superheroine and I fear DC is gonna miss the boat.
She should be up there in the silver screen braving new horizons, not playing second fiddle to the Green Lanterns, Flashes and whoever comes next.

Totally agree. Now is the time for Wonder Woman to have a movie. Those movie execs need to get things rolling. But they aren't the smartest people in the love. I lived in LA (Hollywood) most of my life and have met many of those movie people. More ego and flash than intelligence. WB and DC is way behind where they could be with their characters as far as live action movies. I don't understand that.

WOW, you're just amazing, a lot of movement and dynamism under a classic and careful drawing, love the discipline and the research, the amazons wearing the iconic garb from the antique greek vases is a marvelous detail, it speak about research and concept.

Hi, Tremary, thank you so much for your words, I'm really happy that you've enjoyed the pages so far.
Yeah, I poured a bit of research into these pages since I wanted to stay at faithful as possible to the amazons of antiquity.
I'm not an historian, though, so I may often err on the side of artistic licensing.
For instances, on page 2 I wanted to place direwo...er, huge attack dogs ^_^ charging alongside the amazons because I thought it'd look cool.. til I changed my mind when
- I learned that that technique was only invented much later, by the romans.
- the poodles would be trampled by the charging cavalry
