I believe it's just out in theaters so I doubt it has been released on DVD yet (I hardly watch movies so I'm not really informed about such things). It's not a historical movie though but a comedy with very dark humour from what I hear.

Maybe. As I said I don't know much about the movie other than that's a comedy, so I doubt it will have that much depth.

all comedy is built on pain, the painful truth of the human condition..popular comedians pick us apart based on habits and beliefs loaded with irony, which generates a laugh at ourselves, ...this comedy about AH maybe funny, but at its core it begs the question about how leadership is important and about the mistake we made trying to bury it in oblivion for 70 years

We could definitely use some leadership these days. But I prefer it from an elected government, not a dictatorship.
I'm one of the few guys who actually miss Gerhard Schröder. At least that guy knew what he wanted and how to make it happen. I doubt things would have gotten were they are with him as chancellor.

Not directly swamped. We've got some 150 of them in a town of ca. 100.000 people so it's not that bad yet. I wish though "mommy" Merkel would finally get her head out of her rear and close that border. One million of these guys is more than enough.

In east Germany there is an anti islamic organization called PEGIDA that is frequently rallying a few thousand people. The problem I have with them is that it's a bit fishy what they are actually standing for. The West German counterparts are far less successful but the mood is changing. A lot of people are feeling let down by our government so I think it's just a question of time before they haver to react to that.

The Finnish forces used the swastika as well as the German forces. It's an old symbol that pre-dates the Nazis by centuries. The Finns got a lot of German equipment as they fought alongside us against the Soviets in what they called the continuation war.
