The regular Avengers and Beginnings cards are $50 for a color commission, and since the Premier set is more exclusive, I charge $80 for a full color commission. I saw you are going to NYCC this year. Will you be taking any commissions this time around? And what are your rates these days? Hey Matt! Yeah, I can take a couple of commissions for cover art. I've been doing cover pieces in inks for 60 dollars, so that seems to be the standard rate. I'm still evaluating pencilled pricing as well as color pricing, but we could always make a deal depending how many covers we're talking about. In any case, whether you end up getting a cover illustration or not, looking forward to seeing you at the con!

Hey man, so it turns out I'll be there Friday and Saturday which may not be adequate time to ask for a blank cover commission and get it done. We could always have it mailed to me but I may be really busy with the costuming and such. I still am dying to stop by and see you. So at the very least I'm going to pick up some art but I was wondering, do you have another issue of your comic ready to sell? I actually still have issue 1 sitting atop my bookshelf and was thinking "Damn is the second issue out yet?" LOL See you sometime this weekend.

Hey, no worries, please stop by! Even if you don't get anything, it's still nice to say "hi" as for the book, the issue is done and so are the colors. Just waiting on lettering. Don't think I'll have it for NYCC but I'll have it soon. I'm mostly concentrating on artwork and my book on Background design, what with time constraints and just the nature of the con itself. Hey man I have a question for ya. So I am looking to buy a new computer and probably a printer/scanner. What would you recommend to be a good computer, and a scanner if you have any ideas as to that too, for artwork? uploading, editing, etc.
Just been trying to get some opinions before I make a big purchase.

Man, I'm not sure I'm the right guy to ask about this. I have a PC at home that's probably five years old, a Mac Laptop that's three years old, and I only recently got a scanner (a hand me down at that). I'm a little "computer dumb", since I tend to do my artwork traditionally, and scan at school (I could check what brand they have at school, though, and let you know). Sorry I couldn't be more helpful, but I don't want to mislead you.

It's about that bracket... the final battle.
John Rambo (unspecified era, but we're assuming First Blood Rambo) vs. Batman (again unspecified, but assuming Christian Bale Dark Knight movie version). Who wins? Battle takes place in a dessert, Batman has the suit, but no weapons or gadgets. Rambo is Rambo, no weapons.
Previous rounds were Batman (W) V. Bruce Lee (L) and Rambo (W) vs. The Pikey (L).

If Batman can beat Bruce Lee, Batman can beat Rambo. Having said this, he'd have to remove some of his armor to avoid dehydrating in the desert, while Rambo will have the home court advantage. Batman did fight Ra's Al Guhl in the desert, though, so my money's on Batman (was there ever any doubt?)
Once again, my glasses have been fully earned. I am now working on achieving pocket protector status.

Last but certainly not least I absolutely adore the blank cover commissions you did for me. I show them off any chance I get. The Bucky was WWII badass personified and the Brave and the Bold Batman was perfect.
Awesome to meet someone who shares my feelings on that show and I totally want to commission you at some point for a full BATB piece. Btw, when doing that, should i contact you here or via your email you had on your business card?
