I have two older brothers, and I pretty much grew up watching whatever the hell they happened to watch. I watched the original series of The Biker Mice from Mars and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (oh God...), then there were other equally weird cartoons, which, in retrospect, would probably be traumatizing to nowadays kids.
I watched Deep Blue Sea, Blade, Léon; The Professional and Gladiator way back when every movie came in VHS format (we still have the last two movies in VHS), and they were glorious.
I played the original Tomb Raider game way back when Lara Croft had her boobies shaped like the freaking pyramids of Giza. I watched my brother play Resident Evil and MGS with our PS One, and I can still remember how bad the graphics were.
I believe I became a Marvel fan only after I saw the first X-men movie (despite seeing Blade first), and I have held only one Marvel comic book in my hands, it was a random issue of Spider-Man, and it happened when I was really young and when I was completely unaware of what Marvel even means.
I started writing fanfiction when I became unemployed. I wrote in notebooks with a regular pen, the grammar was so, so bad and full of cliches, but it was my very first try since middle school and with foreign language, so...
Nowadays, I only write with my laptop, and I have no means to stop anytime soon.
