Heheh I'm kind of just lurking around here these days X)
I'm good! Life's progressed ever so slightly at the start of this month when, after getting some professional support, I've gotten to practice working in a stora as a trainee. Been an interesting experience (that will continue once the Christmas-rush is over), and after having been at home with nothing special to do for over a year, I probably needed this X) Otherwise, I'm also on a general gamemaking-course, which is interesting although not doing too well right now since I have no idea how to progress my project XD On my free-time I've been playing Dishonored 2, which is amazing, and been doing some writing and drawing ^^ I almost feel like making a blog to post my stories on, but I don't think it would be a good idea at this time (probably wouldn't be able to regularly post material, considering how random my writing spurts are) XD
So, how are you?

Good to hear you're doing well! It's hard to get work right now, so that's really good news about your training I hope it goes well for you the xmas rush is always harsh nomatter what job you do (especially if you're an elf ) but it will all be over soon... then we can start preparing for next year

That sounds cool, I've been messing around with game-making programs and tutorials myself, but then I lost all the work I did when my laptop decided to break so it kinda put me off for a little while... I'll start again in the new year. What game are you making?

I have never played dishonored 2 though I od like Bethesda (I believe they had a hand in it?) so maybe I'll give it a shot at some point! I have also been writing a little though I ran into problems with my story so I'll have to return to it when I get over the obstacle!

I'm ok thanks, not the best end to the year but hopefully 2017 will bring some new lucky my way

Yeah, it really is  @_@ I feel like I'm lucky with the store I'm training in. They sell lot's of fun items for crafts, like different kinds of color-pens, clay, hobby-paint and much more. It's one of those few stores that I myself actually buy from X) When the professionals helping me asked what kind of job I could imagine actually working in I said that I wanted to either work in a book-store or in the crafts-store. Some of their co-workers were already helping another person(who like me had trouble getting jobs) with the book-store so we went for the crafts-store. One of them warned e that none had really ever gotten a chance to be a trainee there, so that I was prepared. We got the chance to meet with the store-head for an interview. She was probably interested in me, so they took me in as a trainee. ^^ Turns out that the head lives in a nearby neighborhood and knows me and my parents. Their dog and mine's like buds too XD Quite the fun coincident X) I went to visit the store on my birthday to give them a cake they could enjoy that day, and they had prepared a birthday- and a Christmas-present for me which I honestly didn't expect, was very sweet of them and I feel lucky to have been given the opportunity to work there ^^

Oh man I can't even imagine how harsh it must be once you're skilled enough to work full-time during Christmas. Maybe I'll get to experience it one day @_@

Damn that sucks... loosing progress on something you've worked hard on gives the worst feelings imaginable... rip art killed by forced windows-update TnT

I'm not working on anything special XD Basically just taking one of the many stories I've got and making it into a 2d-platformer... I've got no progress on it though, my game-making motivations are at an all-time low currently XD I think what keeps me from working on it is the fact that I have another, already started, game-project that I wanted to continue on, but the teachers said that I had to begin a new one X(

If you're ever gonna get Dishonored 2, I suggest playing the first game and its two story dlc's "The Knife of Dunwall" and "The Brigmore Witches" (knife of dunwall first then brigmore witches since it continues the story). The second game is absolutely amazing gameplay-wise and the world of Dishonored is greatly expanded on. I do have a few gripes with the 2nd game, mainly the story, script and some character relations, but the pros massively outweighs the cons imo. I remember playing a "kill them all"-run in the first game and having less fun with it compared to a "kill none and never be seen"-run. In the second game though, especially now when they've added newgame+, is sooo smooth in terms of movement and makes combat extremely thrilling. The animations are really cool too so getting those badass kill-cams enhances that thrill tenfolds ^^
Arcane are the ones who developed Dishonored 1 and 2, and Bethesda are the publishers

Heheh, I write stories pretty much all the time, though I tend to jump between them depending on which I'm feeling the most inspiration for at the time. X) I have 3 long Word-documents telling 3 (unfinished) stories that I continue on from time to time. The longest one got 29 pages and almost 15 000 words atm, the runner up got 15 pages and the third got 10 XD I wish you luck with your story when you continue ^^

lol wow that sounds cool, it's nice to work in a shop you're actually passionate about and to top it all off, you know what the products are like, so there's a bonus! Though be careful you don't spend so much they just pay you in art supplies
So it was pretty much just what you wanted, then and to get an interview at quite an exclusive place is definitely a nice break to get, well done That was a nice thought - from both you and them! They sound like they're nice bosses, which is pretty hard to come by in my experience. As I worker, it always makes me want to put more effort in if the people I'm working for are nice

Heheh yeah, in the past I've never worked on xmas day, though I have worked xmas eve (and the day after christmas too) but this year I've booked some time off work. Unfortunately I got ill over the holidays, so I haven't done much except sit around feeling awful... and sorry for myself

Stupid teachers well anything is better than nothing, since apparently most people don't even get very far into starting their video game projects. And the more of them you make, the more you learn and the faster you can make the next one! I tend to get unmotivated easily so I feel your pain... I generally have to kick myself up the backside to get myself into something again!

Thanks for the tip it's nice that you have the two options on how to play the game, I love those kinds of things since it seems to make the game worlds seem much more alive. That's why I like open world games the most - the more choice, the better! Ah, beth are the publishers - I heard they were involved, though I wasn't sure how

That's pretty awesome, I have to focus on one story at a time, since my brain doesn't do well with wandering it does that enough by itself, though it tends to ignore useful and constructive things when it does You're doing well though, I think I'll just have to start another chapter of mine and come back to the ones I'm struggling with later... I know how it's going to go more or less anyway, and it's a kind of... mockumentry story, so I can be a little flexible with chapters and structure Thank you I hope yours go well too
