# About me
My name is Dustin-James. I'm a 23-year old photographer in California, and I started photography when I was 15 taking self portraits on my cell phone. "Myspace Angles" weren't cutting it anymore, so I branched out. Needless to say, I can't take a self-portrait anymore to save my life. But, somewhere in my never ending quest for improvement I began considering myself a full fledged photographer. As opposed to "a guy with a camera". yea ...i never thought of it like that at first...i just wanna be broad and i knew nothing of photography til i started taking classes 3 terms ago. i want to get better and broaden my horizons. i love photography and the endless possibilites. i really like to photograph people. one of my fav. photographers is Mary Ellen Mark. look her up if your curious....take care man sorry late reply

wow she does beautiful work. It doesn't look like she's done much recently. But I was browsing her website and it's gorgeous. I noticed her celebrity work stopped at like 1998, I wonder why she stopped.

well from what i know she prefers to photograph the grittier side of life not celebreites but did so for the money...she has gone back to doing what she prefers..traveling around to the not so great parts of the world and photographing there...glad you found someone you liked. do you have any favs?

I don't really have a favorite photographer, there are just soooo many out there. Not to mention so many people with a camera think they're a photographer. I just don't have the time to pick favorites
