Yeah, same here. This internship at Solar Turbines is a great thing to pad the resume with, but I could stand less tedious work and/or a shorter commute. Still, sticking to it will pay off. So, how've you enjoyed your summer thus far?

Hey I'm starting to wonder something about Redwall. I wonder If Matthias was Born out of the Laterose Plant, in the book it never says where he came from, only that he's an Orphan and that he looks like Martin, an UNCANNY RESEMBLANCE. What if the Laterose devoured Rose, then when that one sprig was brought to Redwall it grew on what was left of Martin, if it extended that far, then when the time came Matthias was bron out of it and found by travelers or a Merchant? One Must wonder.

Well it's definitely an interesting theory. If you mean that the bush's roots grew from the soil that Rose was buried in (maybe if she was buried directly in the earth and she decomposed) and absorbed her that way, then more or less did the same with Martin, that I could see. But I'm not sure how that would lead to Matthias bursting fully-formed from a plant? Unless we're going ultra Greek myth-style with this and just going to gloss over that, haha.

I was thinking more 12 kingdoms, where everyone on that world is born from a plant in the middle of a village. But it would be a miracle in Matthias' case. I thought of it when reading book 1 again, which is my favorite by far, I just joined the fandom recently, I just had to share that theory, because there is that possibility that Matthias is that is because Well...he came from Martin...in a way. And because it's neat, I was thinking about writing on this subject and sharing it on DeviantArt like a fanfic.

I'm in the process of writing now, I'm not sure when I will be done, hopefully later this week, but I have the first part done, the tale first describes Abbot Mortimer talking about a passage from "In the Wake of the Red Ship" where Luke passes the Sword to Martin, and how Martin has not ever done so, and hid it because he did not have a Son.
