.... whoa.  It has been a really long time.  Kinda surprised to see you sought me out, to be honest.    How are you?

Life's pretty alright for me; a lot has changed!  I'm living in the US again, I've been married now for 3 years to the same woman I was dating back when you knew me, I transitioned to being male (both legally and physically), I'm a PhD candidate working on Space Physics research, I'm also the outreach coordinator for the Astrophysics department, and ummm... yeah, probably a bunch of other new things that I've forgotten, but that's the basics.  On the not-so-great front, my family disowned me, I'm not a huge fan of the place I'm living right now (the city is awesome but the people suck!), my in-laws are kind of being dicks to my wife which is pissing me off, and I just started a new research project after publishing the last one and it's a little overwhelming.  Still, I can't complain.  I have a lot of good things in my life right now.

How about you?  Last I heard you were going on your 2-year missions thing I think?  What are you up to these days?

Oh, man.  Life is hard for me to keep up with right now.  It's not all bad, but I feel like I never have a chance to just breathe and relax for a second before some new problem or overwhelming situation comes around the corner and at this point I feel tired like 85% of the time and like I can hardly do anything.  Even just keeping up with people and sending a "hello" message is hard to do regularly right now (hence me letting messages fall through the cracks lately).  But I'm trying to keep going and I'm hoping it'll get better.  With the current political situation here in the US though, it doesn't look too hopeful hahaha.
