I'm about to start my own webcomic too. How do you find Tapastic so far? Is it a popular website? Does it work better than deviantART?

I'm liking it so far! dA is more popular as a whole but focuses on art in general instead of just webcomics so I think getting feedback on comics is hit-and-miss here.
Tapastic has a smaller community but it's very active (and I guess the small-ness of it can actually be helpful since your comic won't be buried under other comics in the Newest tab, unlike with dA where the Newest tab brings up a whole new page of art with every refresh).
The interface is nicer too, though there is a size limit (up to 940 pixels wide only) so it's more optimized for vertical comics.
There are forums there for advertising your work/asking for feedback but I haven't used them yet.
So far I have 14 subscribers on Tapastic which may not seem like much at first but considering that I have only 3 strips uploaded and haven't done any actual socializing with the community, it's not too shabby :'P
