He said she was on a trip but he'd tell her.
I deleted my old account due to trolls, so I don't have the exact date that I ordered it from her; but I know it was about a good year ago. The Sadorae comments on her page are my old account, so that will give you a rough idea.

I ordered one because my friend got one, that little shark girl chibi.

well I was suspicious at first. As she sent me a note, pretty much begging me to commission her. Saying she saw I commissioned other ppl for chibi's of my OC's, so she asked if I'd consider commissioning her. She was quite persistent and even gave me a discounted price for just a pair of uncoloured chibi's. I still have the notes saved. That was back on March 9th of 2009 when she contacted me. I didn't hear back from her until months, almost a year later. She said she'd email me my chibi's. She never did. And she even uploaded some chibi's to her account which she said were commissions after without having ever given me mine. And now I can't get a hold of her. She hasn't opened the last note I sent her on July 15th 2010. But she did open my other notes on October 26th and March 26th 2009.

Yeah, I don't know, she posted the last thing in her gallery a couple days after I commissioned her and I'm not one to be pushy because I know real life comes first and what-not; but after contacting both her and her boyfriend and getting fuck all. I'm more than a little annoyed. Thought it'd be fine since my friend recommended her after he got one done.

Yeah, I talked to someone else. They said they got their commission from her really quickly =\ And yeah I know real life comes first. But I feel offended if she completed coloured chibi commissions after she took mine. And mine was just a chibi sketch commission. And that she won't respond to me either.

Seems I was wrong too. But for me it was $15...

I get commissions all the time, I just make sure they're from well-known artists and I normally only do it on FA.

I can't really afford to buy commissions very much.
But now I generally try stick to commissioning people I'm a bit familiar with or are a bit more well-known. Though I will do fundraising commissions at times as well.
I had gotten a few commissions before without any issues. Until I was approached by ~ExileMage . She was the first person I had real problems with. I tend to prefer to avoid commissioning well-known artists as they can tend to get really busy or get a lot of commissions. So I end up waiting a really long time to get what I ordered. I don't always mind waiting. But only as long as the artist I'm dealing with is pleasant to deal with and that will actually correspond with me after they get my money. I do realize real life can get in the way though. And it's not as if I'm going to be hounding the artists every day or every week asking where my commission is. But to get nothing at all? not even a reply? And for them to still take on commissions and for there to be other unhappy customers after me? I can't really like that very much.

I had one person forget about me, lol.
But once I poked her about it she got to it and actually ended up giving me more than I paid for because she forgot.
Had a friend forget about me, too, and I actually got rather annoyed at her because she kept doing personal art even though she claimed she was taking commissions to pay bills. She got them done after I pestered her about it, though, I didn't get more than I asked for this time around; however.

I don't have the cash to get them a lot, either, like once every few months or so unless it's something cheap like a sketch or something.
But yeah, had I known that there were people before me still waiting, I'd have said fuck no to that.

ha ha yeah. I had someone forget about me before too.
Luckily when I mentioned my commission he apologized and told me he'd finish it up. He even livestreamed to let me watch <3

Ugh but yeah. I know it sucks when freinds do something like that. At least you eventually got what you paid for from her.
It's nice the other person gave you more though for the inconvenience!

Yeah. That's also why I like when an artist makes a list of those waiting for commissions. And yeah, if there were already people waiting I wouldn't want to commission someone either.

The ones I get are normally 25-50 dollars, depending on the artist.
I'm planning on getting prons sometime that no one but me and the boyfriend will ever see xD

ha ha no. I can't afford that much for a commission. I generally go for $5-15. Which don't generally come around that often XD especially if it's a well-known artist.

I develope on IMVU, so wheat I use for commissions is usually earned there.
