yes, it is my birthday.... i went out tonight and we were just talking, and on a random tangent someone asked me when my birthday was. i had completely forgotten about it, so it was kind of a surprise to everyone... the waitress brought a free tequila shot, good times.

i have used 3dsmax for about 5 years now i guess, since college started. i'm long since done college now, but i've been using 3dsmax ever since. before college, i always kind of messed around with renderers like pov-ray, rhino, blender... mostly pov-ray.... lol. drawing is more important than you think! once you figure out a powerful program like 3dsmax theres no going back. the amount of different things you can do are just amazing, it's just how much TIME are you going to spend on each project? i would recommend learning as many keyboard shortcuts as possible to save time

i use 3ds max more than anything now, i've been using it for just under 2 years, i used to use z-brish and mudbox :')
zbrush is amazing for high-poly models ;o

i mostly use normal maps from mudbox, i need more ram to render high poly scenes
i've been trying to make grass... and it keeps filling up all of my ram at render time, stopping my computer in its tracks every time. gotta come up with a feasible grass solution....
