How does it feel to tattoo your own art on someone? When I used to tag and groups would obtain your perms, I remember being so thrilled. Now to know you're a tattoo artist as well ... one creative woman you are!

Yes I get lots of requests for tattoos on the side of the hand, they can be quite tricky but that's not the problem. The problem is that the skin on the palm of the hand (which comes round onto that side) is not very good for holding the ink of the tattoo. What this means is there is a very high risk of it 'dropping out', which means that by the time it is healed bits (if not most) of it will be missing & not look the way you hoped it would. Please bare this in mind before getting it done, or perhaps move the design up a little & go along the side of your wrist instead!?!

Thank you, that helps lots! How about if I move it up a little so it's along the edge of the hand but away from the skin that bends round to the palm? So it's more on the top of hand and a little bit on edge...if that makes sense, I need to draw a picture! If not I'll just spend a few days with my hand in the air not touching anything, not moving until it heals! Hee hee!
It would look nice along wrist too, though we could be getting into agony territory!

It wouldn't hurt any more on the wrist than it would on the hand! The other thing to consider is the fact that on the hand it is on show all the time. I know that may sound silly as most of us with Tattoos like them to be seen, but there may be occasion when you want to cover it for some reason. It's alot easier to do that on the wrist with a bracelet or sleeve, than it is on the hand as your only option is to wear a glove. It's always good to give yourself a choice by thinking about it carefully before you commit to it!

I will definitely think carefully. Having to hide the tattoo isn't a problem in my line of work, so I just need to make sure I choose the right design!

I'm surviving! Procrastinating too, though a friend told me the other day that it wasn't procrastinating but the essential time out needed for creative inspiration! I like that better!!
As far as anyone else on here, the only one I know of is Meredith, who's work I saw on here 1st & I just found her on EF the other day (she should be in my friends list) apart from that I don't know. You could always post a blog on EF to ask I suppose!?!
