I've been saying for the past year or so that I'm going to finish WGGCI and I mean it every time I say it. However, I simply lack the motivation. I don't watch/read Naruto anymore and my writing style has change A LOT from what I used to write the Criminally Insane Series. I mean to finish it (there's about twenty chapters left) but I just haven't gotten around to it yet. Sorry, I'll try to update soon.

Gull is definitely just Gull. I think Raoul even asks her if that's a seabird.

I don't mind. I'd love it if any of my ideas are good.
I loved it I'm kind of angry nobody else reviewed your last chapter so I tried to post a super long one instead of incoherent fangasming.
One thing I really want to say that I didn't in my review is trhat Dietrich seems to be a bit bland as far as his character goes. Or I just suck at reading. But I never was able to 'connect' with him and you've given every character an opportunity to have a little bonding time with the readership. Even Thom got some sympathetic screen/scripttime but Dietrich reminds me of one of those spices thrown in to make a dish look good but not add anything. He's interesting but I barely know anything about him. I know he's probably going to get a little shiny star later but right now I'm just not interested in him as I am in Dani.
It's probably just the chapters he's in! I've watched too many cartoons to get attatched to characters with only one or two episodes.
That was a dumb metaphor can I join you in the dumb metaphor corner.

His bonding moment with the reader was all the way back in chapter three of four so it might have been awhile since you read it. I think it's really interesting that you don't like Dietrich because he is one of my favorite characters. I think he's fascinating. He is a really hard person to connect with so I'm not surprised you're having trouble. He just doesn't let people in easily. He reacts and rarely expresses his own opinions. This is in the first few chapters, obviously there's character development at some point. But I love his character so much because he's such a difficult human being. 

Okay good. Louvel is a Leandre chimera that Sabine and Raoul meet in the hospital - she's a doctor, not a patient.

I can tell why if I was a more empathetic person I'd connect with him but I have a a hard time understanding people. It's not that I don't like Dietrich- he's a good character, but he feels detatched from the story.

Actually, I find it hardest to connect with characters like Allison, Nathaniel, and Thom - characters that tend to make decisions based on feeling rather than logic. 

Dietrich is supposed to be detached. He's detached from his world. He lives in a house separate from the Aegon Mansion. The only time we see him with people is when he's working or when he's with Dani and Knute in his house. Sometimes he sees his family, but he never tells them anything that's going on in his life. He's that silent observer who never invests in anything. (I love him so much. I could rant for ages about how complex he is.)
