No problem, I really like the crane drawing. It's like, so expressive and beautiful. I'm a -kinda- artist myself and I honestly wish I could possibly get on your level of drawing. I'm sure if I attempted to, I could possibly get something worth someones time. Also, your nude portraits are wonderful, they capture the human body so well. awe. you're too kind. i used to loathe my drawing abilities. it took me a really long time to loosen up to that point. i think that's what really helped me, trying to loosen up and just work, instead of trying to refine things right away. learning how to make free flowing, confidant marks is a good skill to have. you're so nice!

Oh man, I still really don't accept my drawing ability/style. I mean, I like some pictures then others I just want to take a lighter to and burn them to pieces. I have really been into art since I can remember. I always found myself drawing stick figures in 1st and 2nd grade then I finally I guess, "broke out", you could say and started drawing Japanese Anime characters. That started in 3rd grade until now, I was 8 then so about 8 years I have been trying to improve myself, and I must say I have. I wish I kept old drawings so I can show people who say I can't draw that I have improved and what not. I mean, I haven't ever really attempted backgrounds and such, but I have started doing that recently because I used to do them all the time in grade school. I guess hearing from so many people that the actual character in the drawing sucked I stayed asphyxiated on them and just improved in the humans.

How long have you been into art? :3

I'm ok. I have just been so drained from exams recently so I've been trying to take it easy. But when I have to cook and clean for my siblings and boyfriend it's kinda hard to relax. Haha, but I did end up squeezing in a nice 3 hour nap today so it wasn't all that bad. And you?

let's see, i've been making art of course since i was young, but not until i was in high school that i started getting more serious. so, 8 years also?

my projects have let up a bit, but soon school will be full tilt and i'll be a busy bee.

Yeah, keeping at something you love could better your future because you'd actually have a worth while job and such. You won't be miserable at work.

Yeah? I started getting like..serious such as career wise since 7th grade. I've wrote out a whole story-line and plot and everything. I've used certain songs to describe characters and everything down to the last detail. I just have moved recently and my story-board is still pack up. x_x;

So I noticed your recent journal. Your from Michigan eh? Clayton, my boyfriend, is from there as well. What's your home town?

hahah don't get me wrong. i'm not going to have a job. and i'm not really working towards a "career". i want to be a painter, and i'll figure out how to make money somehow. hopefully that means selling my work, but if that also means teaching or being a barista, so be it.

i'm from marshall. michigan isn't such a swell place right now, especially for artists. *sigh*

I've always loved painting, but it's really not my thing. I'd rather make a graphic Manga. You don't have to color in there, though I probably would just for the hell of it. Being a Barista sounds nice. One being experienced in coffee making. Teaching would be nice, so long as you have a fairly good class. One that will actually want to learn and not be spoon fed the whole time through. I've attempted to "teach" someone how to draw the Japanese anime style before and they failed miserably because they wanted to be spoon fed. I just won't do that to someone. To me, it's not trying to do it by yourself, your constantly relying on the teacher to draw it out for you and etc.

Really? Why do you say Michigan isn't such a great place for artists right now? D: *hugs*

well, the economy sucks here, and no one is buying art. basically there's barely support for the arts here, and it's just getting worse.

Oh wow. I don't really know how the art economy is here in Florida. But the economy sucks right now. I'm not a very political teen but I just hope the president won't be shitty and take us down under even more than we already are.

So what is Michigan like? I've always wanted to visit it. I'm actually moving there during the summer of next year and I kinda want to get a heads up of what to expect there. What's the snow like?

summers are hot and humid, and the winters are bitter cold with lots of snow. the weather here can be all seasons and types of weather in one day. it changes at the drop of a hat. but other than that, there's some decent things here. it's just a little boring here, but you can find good things.

Hm, well even though you didn't ask I thought I'd share about my Florida weather. It's pretty ridiculous here sometimes. The heat is just way too much sometimes. But then the cool days can be a bit too cool. Since the whole global warming thing the weather has changed dramatically. I used to the like the climate but now it just sucks. I really like the snow, even though I've never actually been in or seen it. I've seen it on TV and animes and stuff and it seems really nice and beautiful. But yeah, Florida is very boring. Not much here but a couple of punks that like to piss you off. I live in Jacksonville and theres nothing but a lot of gang members who like irritate you and steal your stuff and then want you complain so they'll then have a -ahem- "legitimate" excuse to shoot you and piss you off even more. I hate Jacksonville, nothing but a redneck and asshole filled town. I've only met a couple of great people here. I hope to meet a whole group of better people when I move this summer or next summer.

Haha I will be ready. Clayton has told me a thing or two about the weather and it actually seems a lot more enjoyable than Florida. He even said that he would much rather prefer the Michigan weather over Florida weather now that he has been living here for about 2 years now.
