if this is about the canadians clubbing seals, I am afraid to tell you, there is nothing we can do.
I signed those petitions twice! One the last year and one yesterday. And it didn't help stopping them last year and I don't think it will stop them now! Because the government doesn't care about us, it only cares about the fishers, who tell them, that the seals eat all fish. And the government believes it.
They are only thinking on one thing: Money. Money money money... The seals are not important to them.

Hmm well Brita right now all we can do is to make people aware of what is happening and who is making it happen, the day is coming when something will be done, just by knowing and caring enough to sign the petition we make our first stand, everything starts with the first step, and while this is hard for me to say since i'm just about the most impatient person there is, we need only wait a tiny bit more

well I hope the petition will help... some day. I wish I were there, in Canada, to kick those peoples asses.
If I were one of those animal-right-activists, I wouldn't spend time on filming those clubbers or on telling others about it, I would grab as many seals as possible and hide them somewhere from those clubbers, until they leave the area.

no I ment seriously, there are surely enough hills or cars or whatever they can take to put the seals in temporarely. I think that is a good idea. I don't know if it would work out but they could at least try to save some lives.
