References are difficult things, but I think, if you need, you'll make some species references sooner or later. For me, the whole redesign process and a lot of problems in older zicryato design versions (and older drawings as well) made me find some kind of motivation in the idea "if I won't do this now, I'll get much more problems with them in future". Also people constantly make mistakes drawing zicryatos

Sad to hear that people constantly makes mistakes with your Zicryatos species while drawing them,they're to cool to make any mistakes :< I see enough info and details to make less of them,I can't understand that.

That's interesting who's reference sheet do you want to make? I found some interesting character design in your gallery, Kirill for example.
The mistakes situation is better now than it was few years ago, but yes, people still get a lot of difficulties drawing their wings (some draw claws at wing fingers, some draw plagiopatagium with too small torso connected area, some do not understand the folded wing shape, etc.), torso and tail rigidity, and proportions as well. Of course there's some artists that change proportions a bit or making the body slightly more flexible to underline some idea, but this is always can be distinguished from a mistake. However, the mistakes people did five-seven years ago were much worser. But well, at that time my own drawing and anatomy level was lower and it was hard to show what I meant and the design was strange. The zicryato species was and is a reflection of my drawing level at the moment. So that was fun to compare some of my zicryato characters drawings to look at the design and art progress:

Kirill has a weird anatomy of front legs so it might give some problems for someone while drawing them. And I need to make reference sheets for all my characters and species ;-; Nice to see, how Your Zicryato species changed over that time

I like the feeling of Kirill's legs, something arachnid-ish or insect-ish, but still vertebrate creature. Great alien design.
That's fun to think that a lot of original species first appearance was similar to dragon, or griffin, or some other from existing fictional kind of creatures. And how they develop with time.
I wouldn't say wemirs remind me dragons now, look cool and unique, like alternative evolution mammal design. For the wings, wings are tricky to make them work. And I agree with the fact that wings can make species look dragon-ish, since people authomaticly think that if creature have long tail, or wings, or horns - it's a dragon. Zicryatos are still some kind of gray area, though they are not dragons. However, the people's perception allowed me to use active dragon groups to post zicryatos. It's kinda cheating... but well

Yea,while creating Kirill's design I wanted to make something,that will distinguish himself,so I created for these legs.It's not to difficult to draw them in different poses,they may looks a bit difficult to draw,but it's not.And thanks,nice to hear it ^^
Maybe because some fantasy creatures good to draw,my childhood has been full of dragons and not only because they are amazing,but because they are good to draw.Wemirs are now more mammal creatures and it's good for them.I agree with you, it's not obvious that creatures that look like dragons are not really them.
Maybe cheating,but why not,when Zicryatos looks like dragons,but they aren't them.OK sounded like I approve cheating

Maybe, since classic fantasy creature designs improved and developed for years, they are perfect in some way, so they're nice to draw. At least that sounds logical.

For the groups I guess the problem with them occured because at that time zicryato had horns and usual bat-like wings, but also human-like legs. Basically, all of those elements got reworked
