It was something I did when I was younger, but today I do not. I write about characters I have. The closest thing to a fan fic I write about is a game called Wildstar. But the setting and the core is the only thing that is a set thing, everything else is my own making. I wouldn't call that fan fiction though.
A lot of my writing is within an ARPG group called Empires Before Clans. That's got a setting, time line, etc. But everything within the group is completely community. I just write my character(s) perspective on life within the verse. As does every other player in the group. And that is what makes the word of EBC function and feel alive.
