You all know pretty fucking well that what you are doing is harrasment. I know my that my sister didn't copy some stupid picture, what kind of gain would she get out it? And even she did, it would be nothing compared the drama that is flying out of your asses.

Jeez, calm down. So if nothing was copied how come these images exist [link] ? The only reason this has become such a big deal is because nobody likes being lied to. Theres the originals and theres your sisters work which bares uncanny resemblance to them. Obviously the majority of her work is copied. She claimed that by putting a recolour over it, it then became 100% talent and originality, thats what people have latched onto here. Because that an outright lie. As for me being pissed off, not so. I'm totally content right now. If you want to see examples of referencing I have some portrait work in my gallery. Although its from photographs and such you can see that its more than just converting the colour.

First off, I do want to thank you for SPEAKING to my sister rather than THREATENING her like others have. It's appreciated. But I do wish to point out, I didn't just recolor, I added a few veriations (Different Characters, tails, and finally the color) So as to comply with copyright laws that states if three changes are made, it's acceptable.
I do not deny that the original is not mine and that mine is not original. But I did not trace and I want that made clear, that's why I continue to fight, alright?? I'm not saying what I did was right, but it isn't wrong. I didn't come out and say it was my own and I had no intention to sell it or benefit from it. Those pieces were simple and a lot different from what I do without reference and I wanted to try it. Granted, maybe I should have posted information about it and I make a note to do that majority of the time, but I had no means of citing the image. I don't know who drew it and I don't know what Anime it originated from. All the more reason for me to have kept it off my page, I know. I'm sorry. But this isn't about that anymore, this is about strangers questioning my entire gallery based on two pieces. And that is wrong and I will continue to defend myself. And my Sister was trying to defend me because she also knows this and it concerns her that my morals are called into question.

Well this is how I see it. First of all you claimed that you had not copied anything (I saw your messages from gaia), then you claimed you "referenced" one image, then two. In the end I saw 3 images that you had basically just altered enough to get around copyright. I don't see how that can clear your conscience. You can harp on about the little differences you made and how it therefore becomes your property legally, but is doing that really ethical? I don't think it is and many people as you can tell agree. The images you copied were other peoples intellectual property, you just did the minimum amount of work necessary to claim it as your own. Then when you had this exposed you had the gall to outright lie and even threaten legal action. The difference between reference and reproduction is fairly clear. What you did was unethical reproduction. Weather you traced, used a grid or just your eye is irrelevant. You might also ask why I even bother with something so insignificant as this, hey its a dull world. Oh and if you want my opinion, get of of producing that anime type stuff. Its oversaturated and unoriginal.

I do agree with you and I've already apologized for that and offered to take them down on several occasions, I'm not saying I shouldn't be accused of reproducing others work, I did, it was made clear. I'm defending myself because it's no longer about those two or three images, it's been blown out of proportion to the point that people are claiming that EVERYTHING in my gallery was reproduced, and I feel that's unjustly. Do you see? If you're going to accuse me of copying two/three images, then keep it at that. They shouldn't speak so matter-of-factly about my enitre gallery when all they have to show are three pictures.

Galf is just a 16 year old boy with a grudge, whose PREVIOUS account was banned and I'm not so sure I'm surprised. You're fueling a fire and you've no business interfering, especially when you've no solid evidence. I don't trace, I've never had to trace. And the more you push that at me the less intellegent you sound. I could spin circles around you and all your other buddies. I've also notified the Officials of you all and they're looking into the harrassment and slander you've all left. I cited the image and in no way claimed it to be my original and for you to all bumrush me like some juvenille bullies further displays your delinquency.

And for the record, I know what harassment is, and I am not harassing you. I am pointing out your tracing. You have not asked me to leave you alone or anything of the sort. In fact, you have thanked me for my help multiple times. Harassment does not occur until you do something that the victim directly informed you that s/he did not want you to do.

Well I don't like being told I traced and I don't like being called a fraud, so I have referenced and redrawn a picture---A. PICTURE.---Not two, not three---ONE. and for you to trash my front page with lies and slander, it's very disheartening and I feel threatend, and unjustly at that! I'm not the best artist, but I do put time and effort into my pictures, okay?? I don't trace and I never have. This is rediculous and I'm almost brought to tears. I don't care, EVERYONE already knows about the Absolute Boyfriend base, and there was a discussion surounding it. It's SOOOOOO MUCH MORE different that it has been considered by the DeviantART officials to be original ENOUGH to pass as my own, I didn't trace that either, ANY picture you find of that picture itself is too small to trace, My reference came from the manga itself.
I don't know if that was a generous "sorry" or a mocking "Sorry" but if you're still trying to tarnish my page, I must say I'm very sick, to the point I think I might vomit. It's cruel that someone whould use such precious time to find images to compare to someone. Being exceptionally good doesn't mean you cheated. I'm not sitting here tearing through your gallery looking for flaws and here you are, HERE several of you are, hanging on every once of pety and unjustified evidence you can find. Again, the second piece was already stated as a remodel and I only used base. You can't resize my picture to fit that little thumbnail. It doesn't justify anything! Look at what you were able to do, anyone can only assume you readjusted and cropped the picture to match precisely...

nobody's saying you're exceptionally good, what we're saying is at the least you're being incredibly unoriginal by only creating art that has been ripped off
if you had some art that didn't look like it was ripped from someone else, maybe it wouldn't be so bad, but pretty much everything in your gallery looks stolen to some extent

HOW??! You can't just say that! What I don't understand is, look how long I've been up on DA?? Would you please?? Now consider this...Not once, since Galf came has there been any accusations about me tracing...NOW, there's hords of you and I'm brought to tears at the cruelty inflicted. Yes, I did use references, and they aren't completely original...but it's just a drawing, people do fan art and stuff all the time...I'll post all the information you need, but I don't know what any of it is.
I'm not selling it, It's just show case. I free-handed them and they do look accurate and I did use rulers and protractors and anything else I needed. But you resized the images and made them fit almost exact. And now I have people, who haven't even looked at my gallery, calling me horrible names. They aren't original but they aren't generic clone traces. If it would all go away, I would, without a second hesitation, delete them both! But I'm serious when I say please stop! It's a very uncomfortable situation and I have a headache and slight nausea, it's very overwhelming and I really, honest to God didn't mean to cause trouble or "steal" art, I never took full credit and when I asked about the second picture, I openly stated where it came from and never denied that it wasn't completely my own...
Please call off the insults and slander, I'll delete them both...

The problem is I have no doubt that your entire gallery is ripped off. Maybe you've changed them enough to not make it against the rules, but there's no point in doing this to yourself. Learn how to draw without copying other people's work. Do you think you'd be getting this kind of feedback from us if you weren't in the wrong? I didn't stretch or skew those images in any way, they are resized because I could not find full-size versions. They are 100% their original proportions.
If you really did use rulers etc. instead of tracing, WHY????? What is the point?! You're not creating, you're copying and editing. You could just put the original in photoshop and change the colors. Drawing the lines yourself doesn't it make it any more yours. There is no merit in using someone else's work. Learn anatomy and body structure. Do you know how fulfilling it is to create something that you think is really good and know that you did it all on your own, without ripping off anything? I'm afraid that you don't.
The reason I'm continuing to pressure you is because I feel sorry for you. Even after exposing your unoriginality, you're defending yourself, saying it isn't wrong. I am not out to make you sad or scared, I genuinely want you to learn how to be a good artist. As you can clearly see by the activity on your account, even if what you're doing isn't against the rules of DeviantArt, it is obviously against the rules of people who value originality and honesty. They are not attacking you to be mean, they are attacking you because they feel you deserve it. Do you ever see someone attack an artist because their work is TOO ORIGINAL? Just think about it please.
