Your pieces are very nice. But They have too much contrast and darkness.
Use a very large soft round brush and add places of light and dark. This can be done on a normal layer. or a layer mode that illuminates or darkens.
Set your colour picker to White. Then With a large soft round brush just layer up areas of light and dark. Make sure your brush has an opacity of about 10%.
You can also use this method to add warm hues to light places and cold hues to dark areas.
Your art pieces are close to being perfect but you really need light up the air around your surfaces. Hope this helps. I only told you this because your art is so close to being amazing and i want to see how cool they look in the future!
