It goes slowly here, Nick.
We are here but not very many of my things been sorted or unpacked yet.
Mostly I’ve been sick. It took me a week to recover from moving here.
Then I had a gastroenterologist virus right in January. Then my visiting nurse, one of them showed up after two weeks at this new address. She coughed and sniffled all over me and the room. When I got over the GI virus I had one good day and then spiked a fever. I caught whatever it was the nurse brought in with her.
I had a fall backwards at the beginning of February. I swelled up in all kinds of places. I woke up at 5:00 the next morning, it felt like the skin of my left forearm was going to split. It hurt like crazy, it was from my back nerves getting aggravated. I ended up with a Popeye looking arm.
Then I became sick the week following Valentine’s Day. That lasted the rest of the month and into March. When I was on the fringes of being well? I caught something else, and then again for the whole month of March I was sick!
It has been rough.

Hello Nick, My Friend 😊
I hope you are doing well thus far in 2018. I’ve moved into and apartment with one of my older Brothers. It’s one town over to the west from our Mother’s house. We started moving in here and suddenly Mom’s house was sold! Then there was a mad rush to get everything into the apartment before the house closing February 23, 2018.
The apartment is quite nice with enough room and storage for both of us and two cats. The “town” is a bit more city than what we’re used too, having grown up in a very rural wooded area, with no neighbors for many years. We grew up roaming and exploring the woods. 🌲🌳🍃🍂💕
Luckily we’re not in the middle of the town/city. We are on route to the local hospital though. We’re the last house on the left, first floor, on a dead end street. Except for the snow plows turning around and backing up here at the end, our “Meadow Street” is realatively quiet.
The most noticeable differences besides neighboring houses though not too close together, (that’s a good thing). We hear different sirens at least once if not twice a day or more. Most have been fire trucks and ambulances, so far only one police siren. There’s are distinct differences between how they sound.
I yearn for warmer days and no snow. This year I’ll be gardening from pots set out on the front and back porch, as well as on the back patio.
I stopped to say a quick “Hello” ☺️ Everything is here and we’re moved in. But it might take me five months to organize my things. My disabilities are catching up with me. I’ve also been sick, six different ways and had a fall since the beginning of January. Thusly I have to take things slowly, sometimes every other day. I chip away at sorting things and settling in. I’ll try to get back here sooner to see how life is going with you Nick.
It’s almost a year since Mom’s passing. I still forget sometimes, I even have dreams where I’m excited to tell Mom something. Then I remember and wake up saddened. It’s been tough.
Hopefully everything will get better a New Year, a new place, and a new start. Be Well Nick. 💕 Kathy

Hello there merearthling! I don't recall that I've ever asked your given name? Two years or more between posts or reconnecting is a very long time. 😊 I hope you are doing well. (I can't do those cute motion activated emojis that you have through out your notes. Either I've forgotten how, or I need to be on a Laptop or a computer?)
Windows 7 was far above my frustrations levels, We wiped my new Laptop clean after saving photographs and music. Now my Son enjoys the benefits and freedoms a Laptop has over the huge table computer he had with him at College. He's linked them and last I knew he still was taking both for his semesters. He has two semesters left before graduation, a "Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering"! 😇 This will be an extra tough two semesters coming up for him mid-August.
Here I think we've had only three "heatwaves" this Spring and Summer. Today it's cold and rainy the temperatures are only in the 50's (Fahrenheit). It's too cold for late July! 🌧 Last month we even had Frost warnings earlier in the month, ❄️ That's crazy weather for June!
This whole year has been "crazy" with some very low points. My Mom 🌹passed away very early in the pre-morning hours of Good Friday, 1:34 am, April 14th. I stayed right next to Mom until her very end or new beginnings. 😞 It was very fast and unexpected,. Due to sepsis after her appendix burst a week earlier, Mom waited as and Admitted Patient in the Emergency Room. They were waiting for an available room upstairs on the fourth floor. I think the people in the ER forgot to keep track of Mom and her intense abdominal pains. They discovered during the morning shift change that the appendix had ruptured in the night.
I know Mom's 🌹 no longer in pain. I still miss her every day.
Mother's Day was rough too because May 14th was exactly one month since she'd left. 😔
Then every day there's changes, my siblings are intent on ridding themselves of this house and property. I still don't know where I will end up living. Stress on top of stress.
I'm glad that you're enjoying my gallery though. 🙂

I haven't worked up to posting them yet. I know you'll be patient with me.

I'm disheartened and sad to hear of your bereavement ... that you have lost your mother in such a circumstance is most distressing 
(my own mother died two years ago on the spring solstice in my father's arms but it was blessing really after many years of being pain and discomfort in a wheelchair she was losing the memory of day to day life and the strain on my father was getting to be too much ... but she is missed as well ... mother's never die really!)

Way too much work! I also hyper-extended my left knee~ouch!I had't even been out there a half hour yet I had to invest in a heavy duty knee brace, with metal struts! Otherwise my kneecap pops out of place, ewww...
