Oh my gosh, I actually am currently being evaluated for dissociative personality disorder. It's cost me two jobs and a lot of real life friends, whatever is going on with me, that is. That's why I'm trying to get back into DA and my art. Hmmm...I can't think of any commissions off the top of my head. But you'll be my first choice if/when I think of something.

I haven't had too many bad experiences with the disorder itself, quite lucky this way that I've never particularly changed much, just separate memories, it was mostly ever used as a defence mechanism apparently, but it's contributed to my real regret, my sleep disorder, the bigger pain in my arse. But sometimes it gives me the opportunity to experience the nightlife in my city without people in it, which is quite beautiful.

Yeah there's nothing like losing time to mess up a sleep schedule, at least that's my experience so far. Of course it doesn't help that my "other" isn't interested in taking care of physical needs. UnfortunatelyΒ my dissociated identity seems to be all the parts of myself that apparently I don't even want to deal with. Leftovers from a slightly traumatic childhood and such. For a long time I didn't know it was there. I guess on the positive side I know there's a problem now and am getting treatment. I'm glad I know the people still around love me more completely than even I love me. The soul's a peculiar thing.

I felt sorry after reading your journal.. but hey, you know the good result always happen after failures, you would finally meet some good people and have an amazing life. I appreciate the sympathy, but I didn't write it with the intention of getting sympathy, it's my sole reason for coming onto DA, I've never had any intention to be here until I figured I could try this. I just felt I would be cheating people or would appear fake if I lied and said I'd do it for enjoyment. I do enjoy life ^^ it's because of my wonderful friends that I have that I have the courage to do this.

I'm glad to know that! What I can suggest is to join as much group as you can and post your stuff there. It's much more efficient than just adding tags. Doing art trade can also kinda help people knowing you. I'm also new here so that may be all I know.. hope this would help.
