Now that is an 90's character if I ever saw one! I need to start watching more of those, since they're from the decade of my birth and all.
I was wondering actually, when did you see your first anime? I was 15 when I came across Naruto, but I preferred the manga because the only channel I had that showed it just reran one story arc over and over again.

That makes me wonder how old you are...not in a rude way of course! Just that I'm very much a 00's television girl.
I only had the original five British channels for the 90's , so I don't think I watched any memorable cartoons until Toonami started showing Teen titans. That was what really got me into DC, and then my friend showed me Volume 14 of Naruto and I was hooked.
I think I know about three different websites for reading manga online because Britain only sold Manga and anime in specialist stores, which were usually in major cities like Bristol. Little me in a tiny village that only has a total of seven shops, one of which is a post office and another a pharmacy, had no way to get them. To be honest, it hasn't changed much since people can buy most things online.
God I love the Internet.
My first proper anime that I watched from beginning to end though...I think that was Hell girl. I've watched older ones like Neon Genesis Evangelion, but Hell girl was definitely the first. Kinda morbid but at least Attack on Titan wasn't a shock afterwards.
I mostly watched cartoons like Teen titans , Avatar,Storm Hawks , Ben 10 alien force and I watched a lot of studio Ghibli movies. I absolutely love Nausicaa of the Valley of the wind, and Princess Mononoke.

hahahah I'm 70', and it's all I can say! hohohoho
hahaa I understand! I live in a small town too! internet saved us!!
here don't have magazines shop, or drawing suplies! I have to go to other cities to buy them! I lived in two big cities, Sao Paulo and Belo Horizonte, so I had to change my pace when I came to the countryside!
haha My loved cartoons are teen titans, rex and super shock!!! ^^ and I love Mononoke too!! heheheh We have many things in common! LOL ^^

As someone who feels old for once owning a game boy colour, whatever age you are doesn't matter to me.
I don't know if you experience this, but I could be talking to someone whose only six years younger than me and they don't know what a game boy is. I always just stare at them like 'Are you serious? Think Nintendo 2DS but without colour or a touchscreen.' Then I have to deal with an expression that looks like half pity and half confusion.
I'd hate to see how they'd handle an Atari.
That said, it's not like I miss things like a Game cube's tiny ass discs or internet wires that tangle at the slightest breeze, it's just extremely weird to see teenagers who think the lowest form of technology is an Iphone 4.
We really do live in an odd century.

The games of today are spectacular, bloody expensive, but amazing none the less.
It's nostalgia mostly I think. If, for any reason, I see a still shot of the first Sonic game's second level, I'm transported back to losing that level over and over in my aunt's front room on a Megadrive, getting frustrated and eventually being taken off and given a glass of chocolate milk to calm down because I was four and did not do anger well.
Though seeing the bat shaped tire tread on the Batmobile in Arkham knight was and still is hilarious.
I suppose the part that makes me feel old around younger millennials is the fact that, up until about 2010, we had to earn amazing moments, raged a whole lot more and waited five years for the game to load. Ugh, that is one thing I will never miss.
It's all so easy now, and that's great! I just feel a little jilted whenever someone only five years younger than me doesn't realise how much gaming went through to get here.
Oh god now I sound old.
Also, sorry if that's offensive.
Also also, Holographic games? Please, give me VR. But the sword art online problem, I could quite happily live without.

I would love to be able to tiptoe across snow and not fall through, or shoot an arrow without even looking and still hit the target.
LOTR is probably the only knowledge I have of elves, since my mother had all of Tolkien's books within reach when I was young. Just in case you haven't read them, let me tell you it is bloody difficult, even as an adult.

hahaha I've ever read them all in my youth! That because a friend of mine introduced me to Middle-earth when I was 16! That was a RPG game! Since then I'm a MERP master to this day! in the current adventure we're playing in the age of the silmarillions! no One Ring yet, but High Elves against Melkor!!! mwahahaah
