I saw your DCI alter first and figured you tried ripping it off and claim it as your own in an attempt to seem funny, but then I looked through the rest of your gallery. These are pretty awesome, to say the least!

Thanks for giving me the benefit of a doubt! I've made an effort to NOT completely rip anyone off.

Those are some pretty sick full-face cards you got there. Too bad I couldn't use these legitimately in my decks.

Thanks! You could use them legitimately, if you use sleeves and cover the original card with a printout of the digital alters. How to get said printouts though... that's an issue I can't help with

Haha, sorry. Not a fan of proxys. Some of my friends use them, and it kinda irritates me when they make decks worth 200 bucks, but don't have jobs so they'll never actually buy the deck. Still, this is some pretty cool alters. Keep it up!

Ahhh, but you misunderstand! They're not proxies! You simply BUY the original cards, and put the printouts in front of the original. This way, you can reference the original card text (in the case of cards where I covered it up). I've never used my cards as proxies, I always have the real card behind them.

AH. I see, haha. I might be down for that. Anywho, keep it up!

I have a bit of a tutorial in my gallery. I could go update that a bit to be more specific. When it comes to printing my cards, what I'm printing are proxies. I do not print onto cardstock. I used an epson 9800 printer to print them, and put them in sleeves with my original cards.

I made my first magic alter and I'm linking your "tutorial" in the comments. Take a look if you'd like. I'll remove it from my artist comment though if you'd rather it not be linked there.

Thank you for your inspirations though.

Hey man, great alters!
Just a little warning though: Some of my alters were removed because of copyright issues. That's why my new cards only include stuff made by other DeviantArtists.
Keep it up! Fan++

Thanks!
I hope I don't encounter an copyright problems, and I'm trying to keep any possible problems to a minimum. I am only using artwork which is available for free online without any legal loopholes, and I am keeping the artist credit plainly visible on the card where it belongs. Hopefully this should be enough.

Also, I own a copy of every card I've altered, so hopefully that counts for something.
