Life's pretty well!
My last journal explains quite a bit, but we're getting along well nowadays. We've a place of our own, and we are trying to get into another place so we can save more. I have a few potential prospects this time around, so hopefully that'll come through.

Yes I do! for the second time in 3 years! A classy lady friend of mine e made it for me recently. I like it a lot!^^ Normally I like using my own art for avatars and such, but PeaceWolfLegacy did such a good job capturing Foxglove I liked it too much not to use it.

Lots of exciting things have been going on. I lost my father, was homeless for a month, I dropped out of school to support myself
and to help support my poor mother who is nearly penniless and living with friends, I filed for my first restraining order against a total sociopath, and legally changed my middle name. Life could be a bit better, but at least I have a decent job and place to live right now even if I've lost everything else. even that is quite a blessing right now. sorry to be a downer, but that has been my life lately...

Hey, it's no problem. My life hasn't been a basket of fruits either, but blessings are always around.
We ourselves haven't much to our name in the financial department, but have friends who help us out in exchange for our help. It reminds me of how much better the world would be if money didn';t exist, lol.

I heard you got as small job with Nintendo; for that, I am quite impressed.

Eh, money is the least of my concern right now. Money can't undo what I've been living through.
Yes, that job at Nintendo is what is keeping me off the streets. not bad for a drop-out. Hopefully someday I'll be able to collect myself and gather back some motivation to succeed in life and I'll start teaching myself more stuff to impress the folks upstairs so I can get a development or design job which can support a family instead of working in the call center doing network support which is just enough for myself.

I suppose its not too different from regular sports. To tell the truth, I would just straight up call it a sport if it was normally done competitively with multiple teams performing one after the other in front of a panel of judges.

Football players tackle each other and throw a ball, yayyy band people take in about 20 different factors while they're power walking and blowing several amounts of pressurized air into their horns WHILE watching the drum major(s) and trying to remember all their spots and all the different time signatures and all the right notes and intonations and MARCHING BAND IS MORE OF A SPORT THAN ANY OF THE OTHERRS ITS TRUE DONT DENY IT

my only problem is that it is typically done as a performance for entertainment kind of like action acting or dancing instead of as a competition. I would never argue the skill and physical strength that goes into it!

DCI bands do compete against each other, and a winner is chosen every year. It's just like the olympics, only for marching bands. There are judges in the press box, on the field, and constantly evaluating the performers. They actually get on the field with them to judge every little detail in the midst of their performance, believe it or not. One little slip-up results in a massive deduction of points.
