I know this is a bit late to answer this question, as my computer was broken for just over one month, but here are my settings for wallpaper: if I ever render a 1600x1200, I use "Normal" antialiasing. That's the trick! Also, I render as PNG's to make sure it's the highest quality.

You're kidding. If YOU can't sell prints, God help the rest of us. I was thinking about trying to sell some images, but now, I'm not sure. Your work is so good. Maybe the problem is that a lot of the DA audience is poor, retired, or trying to sell stuff themselves. Maybe no one can afford to buy anything!

Keep in mind that most of the deviantART population is composed of angsty 13-18 teens (otherwise known as emo teens ... I hate them) but anyway, most of the dA users are just here because it's free. Otherwise, you'd have more people willing to pay for stuff. I've sold one print on Zazzle, though. I got three bucks out of it (lousy 10% cut of the price, but that's cool because that means someone was willing to pay thirty dollars for a print of mine)

I can understand the problem. I figured there were a lot of people on DA who weren't really interested in art. Seems that many of the emo teens just want to "talk," but not much else. Also, I've got the feeling that artists selling to artists isn't the best way to make a buck, either. It's probably a smart idea to go commercial somehow, to reach mass audiences. Now, how one goes about doing that is a major problem! I've thought about trying Zazzle, but nothing's come of it. 10% isn't much, is it?

Well, I'll keep looking in the meantime. Thank you for sharing your experiences with me; I really appreciate that. Not too many people want to talk about how they're doing with the print account. Maybe it's because no one has any better luck than you have had. And your stuff is GOOD, too! Sometimes I think DA is a big con, LOL!

I've chatted with several other deviants (for matter of privacy I won't state their names), and they have said that they've done fairly well with prints accounts. I've realized that it's mainly a matter of exposure, but at the moment, I'm just here to have fun and share my work with others. It really doesn't matter to me if anyone ever buys my prints; it'd just be a plus to the situation.

It's good you feel that way; that's the right idea. I guess it's all what you put into it, especially getting exposure. That's hard and it takes time. But I guess it pays off for some folks. I'm here for the fun of it, too. If I ever sell anything, that would be nice, but if I don't, so what?
