This friday I finally have to go to the new school I applied for. Have to proof myself I'm worth, but it will be alright since I already managed the art academy. I will keep you updated how it went!

I'm fine, too, may parents allowed me the last 3 months before university to focus on my paintings. *_* Have my second exposition right now. ♥

Just got my ''pre-exam'' today! I think it went okay.
I so hate the fact that people always say that Anime/manga is
always the same thing/style. xD..(The teachers who judged me said that)
In my opinion it's a very populair thing more from this generation.
It's not like I got VERY critizised. I let them see I can do much more
with work I have from the art academy + the test I had to make. (You have to be open for many things, learned that already last year)
Next week I will hear the decision.^^

Yeees, it's my second exposition right now! That shows, you can do it big with Anime/Manga, you just need to try. The critics didn't like my style, either, but technically I was to good to deny.
I really hate it, when teachers say, this style would not be artistically, everyone has to start with the style, that is contemporary, I think... Of course, you're right, you need to try everything, but everyone has it's own compassion and not only what the teachers want to see. I hope they accept it and that they give you a chance. :3!

I am wondering, where are you doing those expositions? You do it just randomly or is it for your university study? (And of course you are TOO good to deny! xDD)
And you are right with what you said. xD If people hate it, just do whatever you want. I have said to those teachers I won't stop drawing Anime/Manga related art for myself. It is very important on those school you create an own style. (But than I think every Mangaka has their own style too )
I think it's VERY weird if they will not accept me on this school. The art academy is a much ''tougher'' school and I got accepted and at that time I only had Anime/Manga art to show. But they allowed me because they saw I was capable of doing other things too with the assignments I made. Of course yesterday I had to make some stuff as well.

Well, I was pretty lucky... XD It all happened by accident - the first one was a drawing competition from all schools in and around my city, where I won one and the second one was pure luck. Someone was looking for young artist with a flyer in a window and I wrote a e-mail - so they took my drawings. XD Pretty awesome, but so random. Just keep your eyes open.
Yeah, it would be pretty boring, if we'd all draw the same way. Nobody would put much effort in it, because it would all look the same.
Oh my gosh, I think it's pretty awesome, if they accept you. XD You need to tell me everything you learn there, I never even thought of an art related further education.

I'M lucky enough, that my second one lasts nearly a year... :3 The owner of the store likes my drawings so much, that she even uses more of them and changes them all over the time. Pretty awesome.

Oh my gosh, I don't know where to start... what did you learn first? I mean, how do you start an artistic education? I can't imagine that at all!

Kinda hard to explain what you learn since I didn't finish the study of 4 years but I have to say I still learned A LOT how it all works in that world.
One of the most important things; You have to be open minded for everything. For example; I really dislike abstract art most of the time but that kind of stuff is something you really have to make/work with as well.
If you think in beautiful/ugly you should go away from such a school. Because that isn't the main aspect at ALL. (Most people who have nothing with art think in that way I think, I still do it too because I can clearly say when I think something is beautifully made or not)
Developing an own style is also very important. (Like I most of the time draw Manga but I have to put it aside and make my own identity with art. ) It can be that you are so used to do what you always do and you really have to let that go and make stuff in different ways.
I also got art history lectures.
I think when you are at such a school you will experience it for yourself, since its hard to explain. xD

It's some kind of electronicsstore, who thought it would be great, to help young artists. I think that's a pretty awesome idea, because my suburb is like an artist-pool. Here seem to be so many of them, I didn't even know that before!

Oh yeah, I can't get along with abstract art... well, I see it, and I can't think of anything that should be seen there. It's pretty hard for me. I can't even draw it by myself, because I really can't think of any sense of it.
I don't say it's ugly or stuff - I just don't see it, y'know? XD Pretty hard to interprete sometimes.
Aaah, yeah, creating your own style is pretty difficult. Beside my "normal artworks" I do a lot of practising, but... well. It takes time.

I understand. XD! Yeah, that's with most school-like systems, I think. I am so freakin' excited about how university will be. Three months to go!
