Yes, that's the only game where you get to see the badge itself. It's just so beautiful and I just want to have it because I love Mitsurugi/Edgeworth so much.
The first time it was shown was only in design, on the floor of the Police Chief's office in "Rise from the Ashes".

I personally rate it better.
You'll get to move about the places easier and the game makes you think more with the logic system as you have to deduce from the live evidences gathered.
The only thing is you don't have court room battle, and in place you cross examine the witnesses and suspects based on what you gathered to solve the cases on the spot.
I can't wait for AAI 2, with the new chess logic system. It's basically logic vs logic instead of logic vs contradictions. I think it will make the game more challenging to play.

I recommend you to play AAI, more so if you want to know more on how Edgeworth and Kay met (Case #3) since she is a returning character in AAI 2.
Especially on the flashback case (Case #4). Won't spoil you on this.
It's funny and some parts makes you go "Aww."
I personally liked how they injected more humour in AAI. Then again, with Edgeworth, it's easier to cause him distress I guess.
