Hi Pete!  After a very cold spring the summer weather feels good!  Although I make it a rule not to take very much time off during the summer (so that my colleagues with young kids can take summer time off to spend time with them) I did plan a few days at the beginning of August in order to take my annual Solitary Camping Trip (at which time I usually write a lot of poems).  Looking forward to it!

My hubby & daughter are happy & healthy and everything is going well.  I hope the same it true for you and your loved ones!

Hope you got through the anniversary day OK, sweetie. I know your Dad would want you to be happy and smile. Things are crazy at work for me- I'm pharmacy manager for the month because the regular manager is on 'paternity leave' (his first child). Unforeseen issues have come up, and I'm spending almost all my time at work. It's not all bad though. In a way I'm enjoying the challenge. Nice to hear from you, Cory.

I did I am doing a whole lot better than I thought I would. Im not drinking this month and just enjoying my time around family and friends. I hope things are going great with you and keep on smiling for me. Hopefully sometime I can hear some more from you

Thanks for dropping in, Pete. Hubby & I just got back from a week of vacation in Florida (that's the good news), but things are going to be extra hectic at work for the next two weeks (that's the bad news).

The dire predictions regarding the hurricane were a little over-blown here in Northern New England. While it's true that many lost electricity due to the high winds, it wasn't nearly as bad as it was in New York City or New Jersey. Hopefully that's the end of Hurricane Season for this year! Good! You're sill about! We have had much snow but fortunately it always went as fast as it arrived. Are you building igloos then? I'm fine thanks, keeping busy, keeping fit, loving life (and holidays) as usual! Are you now enjoying your time off? Daughter and car causing you no problems!?

We're caught in the grasp of a blizzard at the moment. Winter storms are named now, just as hurricanes are. This one is named Nemo. New Hampshire (and most of the New England states) have declared 'states of emergency,' and most every business is closed. The pharmacy I work at is 'business as usual,' though, so I've got to make my way in today. I'll either walk to work, or if the roads look at all passable my hubby will drive me. (James buried under a snowbank, and says he wants to stay there till Nemo passes). Daughter safe at University this weekend. Hopefully she'll use the 'snowbound' time to study instead of play computer games!
