I understand, it's the same here for me too. I've been, eh, decent. I've needed to overhaul how I organize working time and rec. time because I was just falling behind too much. And family goings-on are more stressful because of the holidays than any other point in the year.
But on the brightside, I'm trying out a new art style, getting more into writing, and revising a REALLY old story of mine from comic to literature format.
How're you doing?

Great actually. I haven't been drawing much lately though. Sometimes I feel like I want to draw, and then I don't. It's weird. And I know how it is with family gatherings. I really do.

Well, motivation comes and goes. Don't worry over it, it'll come to you. In the meantime, just practicing silly doodles or different perspectives might help, but there's no pressure to draw, bud. Go at your own pace.

Oh! In that case, I'd think that I'd go with Ales Mia Rickt. He's someone I've been working on and off with for awhile now, and I'd think it'd been fun to try roleplaying with him!

 Sure! He's 26, and is a traveler. He doesn't remember most of his earlier childhood, only starting to after his 8th birthday. He lives with various friends of his family, and grew up with his cousin, Andrew Adam (yep, double first name ), and mainly at a bar a family friend, Joe, runs. He likes to read and learn, though he's never been to school, he's mainly self-taught. He began traveling with his uncle Simon at about 12, and started traveling on his own at 17. He goes around, selling wares and preforming magic shows (and doing odd-jobs). He mainly does it to learn as much as he can, and help people out. That’s apart of why he puts on magic shows, to make people smile. But another part is that he’s looking for his parents. As far as anyone could discern, they just disappeared a long time ago when out traveling.

Great! Fantalé sounds interesting. And my character's name is actually a fun little bit of wordplay! It actually comes out altogether to say: "I(assume a silent ')m a sales trick". Like it?

It has a nice ring to it!
And the "e" in his name is supposed to sound like "ay" as in "play".
It's supposed to sound a little like "finale" as in a grand finale since he's a magician.

Indeed! Last night- It was wonderful! Creative, subtle, colorful, and had a great, positive feel to it almost all the way through! The sad or serious scenes being the only exception, but they were great too! Most definitely a favorite!
