# About me

I am a full-time student at The Evergreen State College, where I mostly study performance art (at Evergreen you create your own major). My focus is in ethnomusicology. The subjects that I study have to do with Goddess traditions, women's empowerment, and mythology.

My days are spent playing guitar, singing, writing poetry/lyrics, drawing (for awhile I thought I was going to be a professional artist), painting, dancing, being theatrical (usually involving Shakespeare), compulsively checking my email, cooking/baking wonderfully lovely things, reading tarot, casting runes, watching pendulums, making herbal tea, drinking herbal tea, collecting rocks, making talismans, weaving dream-catchers, practicing druidry and celtic shamanism (I am an initiate priestess-- Welsh druid tradition), READING BOOKS (for both pleasure and instruction), and generally being silly and enjoying life.

Current Residence: Portland, Or/Olympia, Wa
Favourite genre of music: Folk rock, Indie rock, blues rock, alternative rock, rock, and tibetan singing bowls...
Favourite photographer: Annie Leibovitz
Favourite style of art: Realism/Surrealism (subject: Artistic Nude)

Will be coming to do some photo shoots in Oregon this summer and would be interested in creating with you, after seeing your outdoor artwork done by a photographer with another female model. I will be shooting with a German-American model from the Portland area. Loved what you exuded for the lens in nature.

Hello there! I am honored that you are interested in working with me, however, I'm not living in Portland currently. Also, my boyfriend gets uncomfortable with my nude modeling, so I've decided to suspend it. If you do conceptual photography with clothed models I may be able to oblige.

Would love to shoot you in your art studio, not unlike what I did with Autumn for my feature story on her for an arts publication.

I was thinking about you today.

A lot of time has passed since we've...corresponded.

That picture of you is beautiful.

Thank you. It has indeed been a long time since we've written.
I haven't been on DA much in the past months.
I haven't written anything either...
at least not poetry.
How are you?

I'm living the existential quandary that is post college with a liberal arts education in this economy. I've been working a job that has no future but brings in enough money to survive while living with my parents. I've been writing on and off...but overall, I'm happier than I have been. College was a prison sentence for me, I think. Depression forced itself on me right when I should have been learning to enjoy life more fully. In either case, DA is very much an off and on thing for anyone whose not a professional artist.

And yourself?

Happier is good. I know what you mean about the liberal arts education... I graduate in a year, but there is no job market in Olympia what-so-ever. Grad-school is my only real option-- and I need to start figuring out how to finance that.
Me, well, I'm jobless and looking for work. I haven't been writing, drawing, composing, or doing anything creative and it sucks. But in general life is okay.

Potentially. His family is coming up in a few days. His parents and all his siblings except his oldest sister. That is six people right there. Plus him, our other room mates, and me makes 11. And that's if no one else shows up...

Beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeellllllllllllllllllll!
I miss you tooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

I'm going to a renaissance Fair on Friday (Beltane) with my Mom. She has signed up for a pirate enactment group-- yet knows nothing about pirates.
I may sign up too.

I've been working on the pirate story recently. I wrote out a roster of crew members that are aboard the ship when Gwyn joins. I also looked at some maps and charted out Morgan's "Trade-Routes". I think I will send you some of what I've got.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Toady-kins In reply to Gia-Seren [2009-04-29 18:28:38 +0000 UTC]

Oooh, Renaissance Fair! That sounds exciting. This weekend I will, most likely, sit around and sleep, eat cookies, draw and harass Ian over the internet. Fun stuff, y'know xD

I liked what you sent me of Morgan's past; it just cements the fact that he is a badass!

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Gia-Seren In reply to Toady-kins [2009-04-30 01:04:55 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, I'm having fun writing out story-lines and creating characters. I wrote out a list of Morgan's crew hands consisting of their names and ages. Most of the men are under 40. Three of them are French and three are Spaniards. Then the rest are English or Irish. Morgan's the only Welshman and Ian's Charater, Donald (Don) Morrison is the only Scot.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Toady-kins In reply to Gia-Seren [2009-04-30 01:34:25 +0000 UTC]

Frenchmen! Hooray! =3

I like Morgan's crew a lot, the people are really cool. I'm sure there's an exception somewhere, but its hard not to be awesome when hanging out with Gwyn, Fynn, Boots, Marcel, Morgan and all the other awesome people.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Gia-Seren In reply to Toady-kins [2009-04-30 02:55:38 +0000 UTC]

In fact, there is an exception. I've already decided that one of the crew, Henry Collins, is a cowardly traitor. He gets marooned.
