# About me
This is actually a joint account for Emily and Rebekah. We've long enjoyed Steampunk-style things, and admired the work of a lot of artists and jewelry makers. Whenever we looked at buying jewelry, though, it seemed like most of the pieces were either 1. Way out of our price range, or 2. Awesome, but a little bigger or more elaborate than we would wear for everyday.So - our mission now is to create Steampunk/Clockwork/Victorian pieces that are fun, wearable, and easy on the budget.
We'd love to hear what you think of the pieces we put up here! Whether it's to critique, suggest other things we could try, or just say you like something, we very much enjoy feedback of all kinds.
We've got an Official, Very Serious site under construction, but our DA account is supposed to be a more informal place for us to post pictures of the things we're working on, chat about stuff, and generally have fun. :) Some of the things we post here may be for sale on our store (www.wix.com/gildedgears/home ), or our main website (which will be located at GildedGears.com, once we've got it up and running). If you're interested in anything that we haven't specified is for sale, want to know more about the measurements for a specific piece, or want to discuss a custom piece, feel free to contact us!
Just as a general idea, at this point we're looking at selling necklaces at U.S. $18-$28, large pins at $12-$18, and small pins at $10-$14. (Shipping is free, but at this point we can only send things within the U.S.) Pieces with hard-to-obtain parts, or which are especially taxing to make, may be somewhat more.
