you should check out the secret of nimh. excellent book and movie. kinda on the dark side i think. not as bad as "watership down". but dark for a cartoon mouse movie.

I read The Secret Of Nimh years back when I was at school and I believe I've watched the film too. Excellnt stuff.

if you ever get a chance you should see "watership down". its a very hard movie to find. and it is... very dark. my mother rented it for me when i was a young kid and it was probably the most brutal thing a kid could watch (clint eastwood movies = fine, this = not so fine). rabbits tearing each other apart and shit. odd stuff. but worth a view just to experience it. i think its kinda along the same lines as "animal farm"??? i think that is the title. the anti-marxist book/movie.

Its likely that I sound like a complete geek but I've seen and love Watership Down too! I generally enjoy John Hurt's preformances, especially his voice work so yes, I love him as Hazel. General Woundwort was basically my childhood hero.
