I'm not sure I would characterize it like that, but they're close friends at the very least. I consider Toad to have some mild conflict between his loyalty to Princess Peach and his various foibles, like sarcasm and cowardice.

I guess my main problem here is that I can't relate to most of the drawings, seeing as how my Poke experience consists solely of the original red and blue, not even played all the way through, and a couple of anime episodes. What's a person to do?!

The artwork itself is pretty good, though. I may have to 'borrow' a couple and color them. Glomp! Glomp! Glomp! Glomp! Glomp!
