I'm looking for detailed feedback on some of my writing. If you have or get a minute, I'd love to hear your thoughts. I've come across your page because either something has interested me or your work is similar to mine. You can ask yourself why or why not would I refer this book to a friend? I need honesty if I'm wanting to succeed. Even if all you can give me is "oh, this is good" or "this is bad", I'll still greatly appreciate it. It's really good! The only thing I can think of, is that you have a little too much space between the lines.
Like;
'"Have you heard the councils latest agreement?!" her tone snooty, but her rags of clothes spoke otherwise.
My mother would often hesitate before she spoke, a cat nestled behind a cloud of grass. "I have heard the latest decision." But she didn't strike and kill.
The porch swing creaked under the heavy weight of the woman as her fat nose hardened. "It's the most ridiculous decision yet. There is nothing wise about it."'
Could much simpler be written like
