Haven't played it yet. Was doing some looking into Joker's role in it, to make sure it didn't play out like City did, only to find out that's exactly what happens. Also heard Deathstroke, Lady Shiva, Electrocutioner, and Anarky weren't really done justice. So that kind of turned me off to buying it.

That's kind of the vibe I got. Game-play wise it seemed solid, but lacking in other aspects (story, characterization, etc...)

now the pros in some cases;
bane=top notch,done wonderfully,everybit the proper bane we all know and fear,a cunning and ferocious brute,and the story went a ways a way of explaining and showing how he went on to being how he is by asylum and city
deadshot=while a sidemission sadly,pretty much on character,and the design was very nice,like he came out of black ops or something
shiva=again side mission,btu every bit the deadly fighter you expect,hell there's an achievement toget through her fight without damage for a reason
deathstroke=my only gripe is that his boss fight happened too soon
killer crocretty well done,nice case of seeing how bad his mutation hit him come asylum and city

cons;now,first off let me say,I applaude troy baker,his performance as joker was top notch,rightup there with mark hamill and heath ledger,and I applaude wb montreal for keeping that twist at the gotham merchants bank well hidden like they did,but for fuck's sakes,all that hype for black mask,but noooooooooooooooooooo,joker had to take centre stage,once again

Yes. 

I've been keeping up with the assassin reveal trailers whenever they come out on Youtube. Copperhead looks amazing, from the trailer it seems like she is going to be the big illusion fight this time around like Scarecrow, Ra's, and Mad Hatter before her. Love Bane getting back to his more comicy appearance. Firefly  revamp looks like it came strait out of Metal Gear, same with the fight animations, which is a huge plus in my book. 

I haven't seen anything for Electrocutioner or Lady Shiva. I know again if they stick to comic interpretations of Shiva, she will be something special. Also that may leave some room for Cassie showing up as Black Bat in future installments(I would be ecstatic).  

For the last Assassin, I've heard a couple names thrown around. David Cane is one(If they go this route, again it would open up for a Black Bat cameos or playthroughs in new Arkham games later on). Prometheus is another, It would be interesting to see if they change his appearance and equipment as drastically as Anarky and Firefly for the game. 

Still really hyped about the game.

word is dc plan to utilise that version of the char into the new52 somehow,andtechnically,that'd be more the effect of the poison bats got hit with from her,but eaj seems about right,and speaking of jervis,it just so happens he'll be in the game providing similar levels in his side quest,and yeah,makes sense,given origins' prequel status,hence he's not the hulk mutation he is later on due to titan,and yeah I know,not to mention nailing his personality,he may be a saboteur for hire,but money is secondary to his pyromania

www.youtube.com/watch?v=dJFDuC… he was revealed at the new york comic con panel last weekend,and shiva was mentioned in the achivements list for origins,where you must go through her bosfight without taking a strike from her,and indeed,I'm psyched to know she will be in the game,only natural if you're gonna have the 8 best assassins in the world,and electrocutioner of course may just get out of that obscure c-lister territory

not forgetting he was one of bruce's combat teachers,for a hint of irony,and doubt it,prometheus doesn't strike me an assassin or for hire type,and doubt his costume'd need mch altering.some speculate in that blurry image it could be croc,while others,myself included,figure it could kgbeast,or black spider,or bronze tiger(given his presence in arkham origins blackgate)

indeed,what with the huge map,some nifty new gadgets,the fast travel system,the varity of new enemy types,and the fact many of the boss fights,the assassins mainly,will be taking cues from the mr.freeze boss fight as being a sort of test for players,an exam to check "so,think you got the hang of it?let's find out",like how against freeze,you had to se all the stealth tricks you knew,esp almost all of them in new game plus,in this case,origins' bossfight is about you earning your black belt as batman,and helping to establish bruce as "the dark knight"

after all,it's pointed out many times that bruce at the of the game(years before asylum's events,roughly into his second year as batman),he's got the moves,the tech,but he's not as refined and subtle as we see in city;his outfit seems more patched and put together ala dark knight,compared to the more streamline suit we see in asylum and city,his fighting style is more a wild fast hard brawling style,compared to the smooth artistry we've utlised,and while he does still go stealth,he's more for the direct approach; origins is his transition from dealing with gangsters and petty thugs,to what we know will be his regular rogues;the freaks,capes and masks
