The New Year is approaching yet again. I'm not sure if you're doing the News Years pics with Lisa and Akiko anymore though given you missed the year of the pig from last year. It's the year of the rat this year, and there's plenty that can be done with that. Though I suppose you could also do a double-header pic to cover the pig and rat at the same time? A farm theme could work. Maybe a capybara since they are the largest rodent in the world and have also been called "Water Pigs"? You could probably even do a "Kimetsu no Yaiba" (Demon Slayer) theme featuring Inosuke and Nezuko since Inosuke wears a boar head mask and the "Nezu" part of Nezuko's name translates to rat.

2019 is fast approaching, so it looks like your Chinese New Year pic with Lisa and Akiko will be on its way as well.Β This year is going to be a challenge since it's going to be the year of the pig.Β You've probably already got a design in mind, but in case you have artist's block I have a few ideas.

1.Β A Legend of Zelda theme featuring Ganondorf in his boar form (I can already imagine some Link and Zelda cosplays for Lisa & Akiko)
2.Β A farm theme with Lisa & Akiko in straw hats and overalls tendering to the cute piglets.
3.Β The theme that makes everything taste better: BACON!

I was thinking of a Zhu Bajie pic but I already did a Sun Wukong-themed art with Akiko and Lisa.
I thought of making a completely unrelated original character posing as Zhu Bajie.
If I can't make it for January 1st, maybe Chinese New Year.
Plus as I mentioned in my Christmas pic, I was sick for more than 10 days.

It's getting to be around that time when you start preparing for your yearly Lisa & Akiko Chinese New Year pic. This time it's the year of the monkey. This is going to be a tricky one, but there are still plenty of good themes to go with. For example you could use a Dragonball Z theme since Saiyan's have monkey tails, and it would be amusing to see the girls in training clothes and riding on Nimbus.
