Are you familiar with 'Your Lie in April'?
That show is one of the very few occasions in animation where a Karmic Death is treated/portrayed as a Tear Jerker, due to the dying person acknowledged her potential fate as a Karmic Death and willing to accept it fully, should it become a reality, which it did (offscreen).
