Hey, just caught your reply to my last comment on your journal (the reply you posted 3 hours ago )

I'm doing ok, been at archery today, though my weekend hasn't been too good, lost a friend to cancer on sunday, we knew it was coming, but they gave her til march, we weren't expecting it this soon, i was hoping to go see her this week, but now...Would have gone after xmas like i wanted to, but parents came down with colds so.

:/ That is unfortunate It also sucks that it had to happen before you all thought it would, but sometimes the body is a wild thing that will either hold on or give out whenever it chooses to. :/ 

I..... don't know if this would help or make it worse, but.... maybe you could write (or possibly type and print out) a letter containing the things you would've liked to say if you'd had that chance to see her? Maybe you could read it at her funernal, or.... you could read it aloud if you visit her resting place in the future.

Maybe I sound dumb, it was just an thought. (Just cuz sometimes I go into my closet and speak outloud to an object or something that reminds me of a place or a person that's gone, and it eases my heart to say aloud the things I would've liked to say as if they can hear me)

Ohhhh Christie Golden, I've definitely heard of her and read some of her books Been a while though.

I'm gonna read some of the reviews on Amazon, especially since.... I dunno, for some reason I just get a sheer kick out of reading what other people have written about Star Trek novels. >.>

I'll admit I tend to post semi-more-frequently on Facebook, and sometimes I chat on Facebook, though I also have long periods where I don't use the PM chat function much.

I'll admit my favorite thing about Facebook is just posting statuses and seeing if anyone is paying attention, and seeing what other people are posting. >.>

Yeah, though we're down to once a week for the indoor winter season now.

Hey I'm happy to hear you found someone to talk to and whatnot. I'd say that if both of you are determined enough, and as long as both of you really work at it and keep the relationship strong, it'll work.

I'm just glad you found someone. I mean, back when we were having a lot of conversations (which mostly involved sharing our miseries >.> ) you did sound kinda lonely.

Next july is the plan, though we probably won't be able to meet up in RL very often, so we'll have to make the most of each opportunity we get. Thanks, though i've done this whole trans-atlantic relationship thing before, didn't end so well, so being more careful this time. Though i already know what my family will think when they find out

Well it sounds like life has been picking up for both of us, then.

Honestly, I can say that these last couple of months have been the absolute best I've had in a long time. Annnnnnnnnd.... I'm not sure if I can even explain or describe why. I guess a big part of it has to do with acceptance. I mean... I think a big part of my problem before was that I just kept complaining about EVERYTHING, and dwelling on everything, and part of the reason why I was dwelling and complaining so much was because I couldn't accept certain things, and I just couldn't let go.

Now... I dunno if I've let go entirely, but I've FINALLY accepted that there are a fuckton of things I can't change, and if I really can't handle or accept some people or some things as they are, it's just better to let them go. It hurts like hell at first, but in the end, it brings more happiness than I thought possible.
