OK, I've not nearly put enough actual pictures up since I started getting involved in my DSLR kit. I'll throw some up from my last trip to Mexico right now and try to get some others up soon. I've got some new gear, including lighting umbrellas and some off camera strobes so the previous portraits I did using a 500w shop halogen light should be the last of those.

More and more on portraits, I've been reading so much my brain hurts. I've decided just to start practicing, and what better way to do that than to get a reason to do so. My friend (Evenflow82) has supplied me with some of his chainmaille (all hand made) to shoot as a product for him. I get practice and he gets some semi-decent shots to promote his products. I'll try and post the odd shot up here that I like, I really need to invest in some lighting though, I'm literally using a 500watt shoplight from my garage (wow it gets hot) and a lamp with a 150watt bulb. I need some umbrellas, some remote strobes, and a nice backdrop (not just sheets like I'm doing). All in good time I guess.

I know I'm procrastinating like an idiot on my Mexico pics. Been in a rush trying to sort stuff out lately, I'll get them up sometime, with a risk of rain in the near future and a blue sky today I took the chance to try an shoot some sunset pics on a lake west of mine.

Was out shooting some great sunset\scenery shots along a rocky coast of superior the other week and my dog fell off a cliff while I was shooting. Had to have emergency surgery to save her leg. She's a free run dog as we live in the country so she's never on a leash, 5 years and she's never had as much as a scratch and then this happens.

Won't be posting any of the pictures I took that day. If you travel with a four legged companion while shooting sceneries always make sure they are very close by or don't bring them at all.

I noticed since I've begun adding some artistic nude photos that there is a special kind of deviant member online. Someone who doesn't contribute anything to the artistic community but rather just makes an account and then favourites hundreds (maybe thousands) of nude girls in their account. They don't reply, respond, or add anything to the community other than growing, what I assume to be, their "porn" stash. Anyone who starts favouriting my pictures and falls into this catagory will be blocked, it's not personal, I just don't like it. It's creepy, and kind of sad. Try and contribute something to the community and you'll find a warmer response.
