I don't dance, I have some rhythm but I'm far too shy to do anything with it. my mother is a much better dancer then I. belly dancing is a great option though, however, traditional gypsy dancing is all in the arm movements. and totally, the style has been passed down through many generations and different countries, there's all types of gypsies, spanish ones, irish ones, so as we scattered, so did the style

anyway, it works like this: all the gypsies came from north india, then we left there, and scattered all over. there are gypsies from spain/scottland/russia, but i'm the ones that came from north india. i think. i'd have to ask my grandfather to make sure haha. what makes a gypsy a gypsy is our blood, language, and way of life. ( morals, values, traditions etc ) so yeah. haha you're a smart girl and very beautiful too also, "gypsy" is actually a derogatory name.. our real name are Roma. gypsy is the name non-gypsy people gave us. means traveler etc.

Since you're from all over then the languages must be complicated, I doubt it's all the same.. I mean if you're all from India, then scatter to a bunch of different places its likely to change? so I find it hard to see Gypsies being based on language. Blood definitly, but I don't know many people that keep track of their family lineage. Ah, I remember it meaning traveler always thought it was the real given name. As for the language part, yes, it has changed very much, but there are the same few key words in every type of Gypsy language. Some Gypsy languages, I can't even understand, but I can just a bit, because they use one or two words from my version of the language. And yes, Spanish Gypsies are half spanish, half gypsy, same goes for Irish/Russian, etc. There are Gypsies who are black! We've all mixed with other races over the decades, just as all the other races have. You'll lose your mind trying to learn all the different types of Gypsy language. I for example, have an Asian great grand mother! lol

Interesting. Its confusing because of how scattered it is and.. also by being labeled "travelers" I suppose anyone could become a gypsy? well not a true Roma.. but Its kind of a.. religion in a way..

I'm Chinese by my father and my mom's grandparents are all adopted maybe one was British but no clue about the rest of my anscestors. Some people think I look Native or Half Italain. Once in a while I'll get indian, or greek or Spanish.. Depends on what I'm wearing or what hair style I have at the time lol

anyone can be labeled gypsy, because gypsy is a word, not the name of our race, just as you said, so you're right.

our religion is christianity/catholicism. and yes, you can say that, more persian/asian actually.

after seeing you, you could pass for just about any race to be honest. I can indeed see the Chinese, and the spanish for sure. I get greek and egyptian ALOT. whenever I'm going out to a party, i get italian, so as you said, depends on what you're wearing/hairstyle.

are you happy with your race? or do you wish you could swamp it with another one?

interesting question but .hmm when i was a child and one day i dunno where it came from but looking around eating chinese food at a resturant we frequent i said to myself i didnt want to look chinese and thought that eating chinese food would make me look more chinese so i didn't eat much of it for a while. (silly i know) but now i'm good with who i am i mean we age quite gracefully (but then sudenly we're old lol but i got good genes my dad looks 30 even though hes almost 60. my mom looks good for her age as well.) but i definitly would have loved to have lighter eyes bigger boobs be less hairy slimmer calves lol but eh overal i'm good lol

You would think so, but we've been christian since our race popped up honestly. I think our religion is what made us not fit in with other indians. but yeah, we've always been christian.
yes, what girl doesn't change her look? lol I'm at a cross roads with my appearance right now, since im 19 and such, I try to hide my gypsy roots with glasses, funny hair-do's, girly clothes, because maybe you don't know this, but people can tell that im gypsy from a mile away, and for that, they treat me poorly.. so, being gypsy is almost like a burden.. since we've received such bad rep throughout the years.
and yes, that is a hot mix, but i'm not hot since im so short -_-. i ask because i sometimes wish i was chinese/japanese rather than gypsy.
haha that's a funny story, i guess i would feel the same way if i were in your shoes. but yeah, its good to know you're finally comfortable in your own skin and yes haha, well at least you get to enjoy your youth longer than most. gypsies tend to not show their ages so much, but they are generally unhealthy and don't live very long sadly. the majority of gypsy men die at around 40, the women 50. lets hope i beat the odds
trust me, you do NOT want bigger boobs, they're just a hassle, take it from me (im a 38C) bra shopping is like a trip to hell because its so hard finding something that fits/lifts/supports. i wish i had smaller boobs, they make you look thinner and more girly. -_- lol lighter eyes, sure, i wish i had blue eyes, if i buy blue contacts, itll look funny and fake since my eyes are too dark for those. i hate my legs, they're so short and my thighs are too thick, and my calves have no shape haha. i cant stand being hairy, its such difficult maintenance. i cant believe some girls don't shave, that's gross. i only get hair in the wrong places, the hair on my head is so fine! >_<
