I usually use a lot of them because there are some really great ones! But two effects I really like are HDR and Orton.

It really is! I don't see why people spend so much on paint tool sai or photoshop unless it's really professional. Paint.NET is perfect for all of us hobbyists (:

I think people just see it as a rip of microsoft paint, because that is what my teacher said it was. I just would love to show more people paint.net, and videos on youtube really don't support getting it. :/
I just redownloaded paint.net to my new computer so hopefully my new work can influence new people to try it! Spread the word!!!!
