I notice you’re from Libya. Never been there but I’ve always had an interest
in Middle Eastern history.

I've found that a lot of people here in the U.S. don't know much their own country,

much less anyone else's. :( (Sad)

I post prayer updates about different countries. Part of the reason is to raise awareness

about what's going on in the rest of the world.

Recently I’ve started a personal initiative; if I notice someone on DA is from another

country, if I've done their country I let them know. It’s my way of letting them know

that others are thinking about their home. :) (Smile)

Pray for LibyaLibya is a country in the Sahara region of North Africa.
It is bordered by the Mediterranean Sea in the north, Egypt in the east, Sudan
in the southeast, Chad and Niger in the south, and Algeria and Tunisia in the west.
The population is 6.4 million.
The largest city, Tripoli, is home to 1.7 million.
FACTS
Libya is the fourth largest country in Africa, and the 17th largest in the world.
The Libyan Desert is one of the most arid places on earth.
In places decades may pass without seeing any rainfall at all.
Libya holds the largest proven oil reserves in Africa.

For thousands of years Libya has been populated by Berger groups.
During the 5th c B.C. the Phoenicians established many trading posts and colonies, including Tripoli.
