I love writing, but I have a constant writers block! I can never come up with a plot or fitting characters for a plot!!! Instead I manage to write not so good free verse poetry! Any tips for coming up with a tale to tell?

Honestly, much of what I do comes down to taking something like a movie or book anything like that and I examine the characters and plot and think about how could I make something like this, but with my own take. After that, it's just a matter of imagining how a character would perceive a situation. You have to imagine them as real people. For instance, take a situation from a story and imagine what you would do in that same spot.

I Loved the John Carter of Mars books! owo I still love all the creative things like the giant green people and the moss all over the ground. ^^
My dad introduced them to me when I was tiny and they were the very first longer books I ever enjoyed.

He also reads a lot of the doc savage books, but I've never touched them much. I need to get around to reading them sometime. >w>

John Carter was great. I have some old hardbound editions with the Frank Frazetta covers. My real inspiration though, was Robert E. Howard. He was the one who wrote Conan, Kull, and Solomon Kane.
