Sakura blinked when she looked at the exceptionally joyful woman who approached her, "Hello, miss Adnan," she said, bowing as her usual courtesy was with everyone. When the Turkish woman asked her to guess what she held, Sakura had absolutely no idea, no idea at all. So instead of answering with a guess, she replied back with a straight face, "What is it?"

Though, perhaps, you couldn't quite blame Sakura for being a bit of a bore...

Sakura stopped in her tracks as she heard the voice that called out her name. She turned her head left and right, looking for the source of the voice. It sounded like a familiar voice, a very familiar one indeed, but she just couldn't put her finger on it.

She didn't realize who it was until said person waved and walked in front of her, and to his bow, Sakura replied with a bow of her own and calmly said, "Hello, little brother, it has been a long time since we have met," yes, truly, it has been a long time since they have met, Sakura could not even count the days that they have been apart for so long, "How are you, little brother?"

She sighed in relief when she heard her brother say that he was doing well. It certainly is great to hear that, she was afraid that he would be greatly affected after the earthquake, tsunami, and the nuclear crisis that occurred in the past year, and she was afraid that he was affected even until now. But seeing that he's okay now made her feel just a tiny bit of relief.

"Not much, except for wishing for a great, new year and doing a bit of ikebana, as usual." she replied in return, "How about you, little brother? And how are the others?"

She blinked, "She was being made fun of because of her phone...?" that, in her own opinion, was a completely immature thing that anyone could have done. All a phone was was a box that just emitted sounds and showed pictures, that was nothing to make fun off. After all, every single piece of technology was probably just a box that emitted sounds and showed pictures in the end.

However, although she couldn't forgive anyone who would dare to make fun of her sister, she was sure that such a trivial thing could be sorted out without external help, so she said, "Hm... ... That is quite true. Yes, Okinawa, as she remembered, is an old-fashioned person with the ways of agriculture, providing the household of their daily food, and she was grateful to her for that. However, even Sakura knew that a phone or a similar piece of technology could not be used for farming or fishing.

However, she just had to agree about Okinawa having a Nokia. Nodding sagely, she responded, "Perhaps she may want a Fujitsu or a Sharp handphone instead, I have heard that they produced top-quality mobile phones and other pieces of technology, " she suggested. They were perhaps the most reliable brands she could think of, as they were the brands created by Japan in the first place.

Sakura gave a small 'hm' in reply. It wasn't as if she approved of that, or disapproved of it. True, she was a bit disappointed that the older sister was the one needing care instead of the younger, but she was proud to see the younger take care of the older. In some way or another, perhaps she did something right, and did something wrong at the same time.

Though still, she gave a sigh, "She should learn how to be independent by now, it has been years..." she muttered disapprovingly, reminiscing the times when Okinawa was still just a little kid, "However... Perhaps, that is just her personality," she continued, sighing once more.

Sakura nodded slowly once again, although it was true, what he had told her, Sakura did not feel completely at ease. However, she decided to follow her brother's advice and push the thought away for now, "Have you heard from brother Kiku?" she asked, changing the subject, "I have not seen him in quite a while..."

[Oh hey, Roxy! It's nice to meet you! xD I really like your account as well, she sounds really cool! And of course, although forgive me if this starter isn't much, I can't think of anything else at the moment D:]

Sakura slowly and carefully placed the flower on the stand, practicing her art of ikebana (the Japanese art of arranging flowers) in the quiet and tranquil tatami room, with Hachiko watching silently beside her. Although it was winter that day, and although it had been snowing quite heavily, Sakura felt as if she needed a bit of quiet time alone (save for Hachi), and practicing ikebana was just the thing to do that.

Although, the rest of the neighborhood was quite loud and busy. It was, apparently, a 'Christmas pre-party', a concept that Sakura could not understand. It was still more than a week away from Christmas, and hosting a party in preparation for another party seemed to be mind-boggling to her. But, whatever they do was not her business, she thought. As long as she had the quiet room to herself, she was happy.

However, even that room was not enough, it seemed. Her neighbors were so loud that even the noise had penetrated through the thick walls of the room. She gave a sigh of disappointment, really, the younger generation did not understand the meaning of 'restraint'. Even though such noise could easily be filed as 'public disturbance', Sakura felt that it would not matter anyways, as her motivation to practice ikebana had faded away.

Giving another sigh, she muttered, "Come on, Hachi, let's go for a night walk," to which Hachi replied with a happy bark. Sakura leashed Hachi and the two then walked out of the house, taking several steps away from her noisy neighbors. Perhaps, however, the two would meet someone along their walk.

The female spaniard who obviously was so anxious to see her friend Japan!~ She had so much work to go through and never had the time to talk to the other! She remembered how quiet the other girl was, it made her even more interested in the other. If that was even possible! It just made her quiet interested....almost like a certain italian. She laughed at herself that she could always somehow connect to that handsome italian. Oh Antonia...she always felt different around him..but what were these strange feelings? The oblivious spaniard couldn't tell at all. It was might as well impossible to give a straight answer!

The spaniard who was in such deep thought on her way to Sakura's house. She's so excited for the Japanese to try this special Spanish dish she made. Hopefully it will satisfy the other. Basically she was quite worried that her dishes were getting worse...probably due to the fact the italian turned red every time he ate her dishes....It worried her that maybe it was contagious or so. She tried herself so many times. It didn't taste bad at all! Maybe it was because the italian was allergic or something..It couldn't possibly because of her cooking....right?

The worried spaniard suddenly heard shouts. Huh...neighbors were quite noisy here. She looked around at the beautiful place. Japan was awfully beautiful. She couldn't believe it! And with snow it was even more outstanding! She grinned brightly all around. It was cold too... ohhhh pout. She almost forgot that christmas was also coming! She was so excited and happy ahhh!~ She of course had to buy her friends gifts. Maybe Sakura a gift as well! Might as well!~ She'll make her or maybe buy her something really nice! She noted to herself and nodded being confident about it.

Being in such deep thought she blinked as she bumped into an other, causing her to bump back " AhhH!! Lo siento mucho!! " She said with her spanish accent but blinked and grinned widely realizing who it was "Oh!!!! Sakura!~~ " She grinned brightly hugging the other "Ahhh! It's been so long!~ Como estas??~ " She said letting go of the other and tilting her head to the side with her small smile showing adorability

Sakura and Hachi were walking away from the scene of the noisy neighbors as they were out on their night walk. It was rare for them to be out on a night walk, as Hachi preferred day walks more than night walks. He disliked cats, and cats just seemed to always prowl about at night. It made him growl and bark at them several times, disrupting the tranquil setting of the night, so much that Sakura eventually gave up and would only walk him during the day. But, seeing as the neighbors were so loud, she had no choice but to walk him. It wasn't a bad choice, though, the night was a peaceful atmosphere, so different from day that it almost made the neighborhood seem it was a new place. Sigh, if only Hachi would come to like cats, perhaps she would see more of this scenery.

But then, with his heightened senses, the puppy's ears began to perk up as he heard the small scratch of a cat's nail. He then held up his snout high and sniffed, and then eventually picking up the scent of the feline's fur. Hachiko then looked up at a wall, and lo and behold, he saw the cat at the top of the wall, taunting the puppy as the cat's tail began to slowly rise and fall, rise and fall. As if it was teasing the puppy while saying, "You can't catch me because I'm up here," to which the puppy growled back in response and the girl holding the leash could only sigh. Here comes what she was worrying about.

The cat then gave a meow and ran off. The puppy, giving a bark, then chased off for the cat, with Sakura unfortunately pulled in as well as she was holding his leash, and she did not plan on letting the puppy go off on his own, "Hey, Hachi!" Sakura called out in an attempt to stop him, but to no avail. The puppy kept moving, ignoring his master's words. He was way too concentrated in chasing the cat to listen to his master's words, unfortunately, and that would never end well, Sakura thought.

And it didn't. The puppy was way too caught up to realize that there was someone there, and Sakura had only realized in a split second, to which she made an abrupt stop. Unfortunately, she still bumped into someone, and she immediately took a step back and bow deeply, "I apologize for bumping into you, I was not looking at where I was going," she said, with the dog whining as well in apology and did what seemed to be a bow because it was mainly his fault for his master to bump into this person. When she looked up, however, it was then that she realized that the person she had bumped into was her friend, Antonia, and it was then that she was caught by surprise when the Spanish girl hugged her.

"Hello, Antonia," Sakura said after a few moments of silence from surprise, "Yes, it has been quite long since we have met each other, and I am fine, thank you," she said. Although she wasn't fluent in Spanish, she knew such basic things, and when she was released from the hug, she returned the small smile with one of her own.

"It's also quite good to see you in good conditions yourself," Sakura said as she quickly analyzed her friend, though she immediately asked a question, "What are you doing here, Antonia, so far from Spain?"
