Hello, I saw some of your tutorials and I was wondering if you could help me out. I'm working on my frist cosplay and the character I'm going as has survived having his throat slit. His shirt has a huge blood stain going down the front of it. Do you know any good way to get the right texture for it to look realistic? I am probably going to use acrylic paint.

I practiced a similar texture for a cut-throat waitress for the Boise zombie walk last year. The staining of the fabric admittedly proved difficult, I'm very much more accustomed to flesh, but I can definitely say don't use anything high in water because, though it 'bleeds' a bit better, it soaks in to a light pink color. As I recall, a deep red acrylic paint worked pretty well, as I recall.

Paint was used for the full dead, on the left, and I believe a kool-aid mixture was used for the girl with the ponytail on the right. I'll be sure to look into it more and get back to you ~

Okay, they both look pretty good. I was actually thinking of sponging on the acrylic, just to get it to look really thick. Thank you very much for your help!

That's good to know. I'd understand if you're still angry with me, but at the same time I hate living with what I did and any bearing of negative emotions. I've been slapped in the face this past year that life is too short to behave that way and it makes the world around me a horrible place.
Anyways. I'll stop being deep and pestering you. R U looking forward to Fandemonium?
