hey ! - hows it going, sorry i took a while to reply - i've been super busy preparing for my move to ITALY - i'm leaving australia haha (only for probably 1 year though, but who knows) anyway exciting stuff - how've you been ? i had a quick look at your new stuff, looks prety good, i don't often see band pics that are clear like this andyou seem to have captured the mood prety well. - anyway way i must be off, still lots to do - take it easy

Wow. Ur moving to Italy! Thats awesome! That is one place on my list of places to go before i die. haha. Im sure u will get some pretty awesome pics while ur there. Thanks for checkin out some of my recent stuff. I was very happy with how some of the band pics turned out. Ive been pretty busy myself lately. Its my senior year and school isnt easy. Im also trying to get a job which takes up alot of my time.

Pretty good. Just enjoying the summer. Haha. I have been pretty busy chillin with friends and going to concerts. But there is only about a month of summer left. Im trying to find a job right now too. Its harder to find jobs than i thought it would be.

You have a good eye for composition and form. My main advice would be to spend a little more care in preparing your photographs for presentation.
The first thing I do is rotate the image, if necessary, to level the horizon, unless there is some particular reason for wanting it skewed.
Cropping is probably the most important editing step. Pull our eyes to see what you were looking at, which likely does not include everything the camera managed to pull into the image. I generally keep to a 4:3 (sized down to 1200x900) in order to discipline myself to work within a form.
I then make minor adjustments to the colors and contrast. If necessary I clean up clutter with the clone tool.
I make a moderate pass with the sharpening filter to bring out the edges, then a mild pass of selective gaussian blur to smooth out the noise.
Finally, I add a frame and inner border as new layers stacked under the main image. If the main image has been sized down to 1200x900, I typically make a 1260x960 outer frame and an inner 1206x906 inner line. I will often use the color picker to grab frame and line colors from the image itself.
